The new configuration looks better that the previous attempt, and the Streaker arms are a big improvement. However, the Universe Ironhide head kind of makes him look like a pinhead, it's too small for that mold. Maybe you should try a modded Energon Inferno head, which IMO makes up for a hell of an Ironhide head and suits a voyager body very well. Keep up the good work! |

I don't mind the size of the Ironhide head at all... in fact, it was by far the best looking of an assortment of heads I tried... yes, including Energon Inferno, which is almost exactly the same size as this one. That head made for a good Ironhide back in 2006, but now it seems a bit lacking to me. The Classics Astrotrain head is a bit bigger, and I tried an Alt Skids head too, for a bit more bulk, but ultimately this one fit the style of the movie body best. Plus, it's almost an exact colour match, which is always nice. ![]() zmog image size: 500px x 275px, 18.78kb... always has been "Why is bad taste ubiquitous?" - Erik Spiekermann

I didn't consider the fact that the Inferno head might look too simple detail-wise on a moviverse body. I hope to see more of this project soon n_n! |

The only thing that I am missing is a Ironhide head. I need to find a replacement for one. Hmmmm.... But anyways, your mod rocks. |

Isn't it hilarious when industrial equipment follows the form follows function design style? Some weird shit that'd make for good Constructicons. With a Thousand Lies (and a Good Disguise) |

- cut hinge that links the two front halves of the truck bonnet together. With them split, it allows the windshield to come forward like this - popped off the existing arms - cut the ball joints off the bumper. Currently the halves are just pegged in place, but I'll permanently attach them later. The rest is just mis-transforming. It takes a bit of wrestling to get it into this configuration, but once you're there it works pretty well. The Sunstreaker arms just pop right onto the ball joints for the old arms (which are higher now, instead of attaching practically to his stomach). I tried Sideswipe arms, but for some reason they're a bit loose on the ball joints, while the Sunny arms are quite firm. Weird... Quote:
I suppose the alt-mode and transformation are pretty similar, so it makes sense. I think he looks a bit more like the Cyberverse version than the Deluxe (well, "Kup" anyway). zmog image size: 500px x 275px, 18.78kb... always has been "Why is bad taste ubiquitous?" - Erik Spiekermann

I'd like HAS make that figure (not in PRIME aesthetic) to replace my Generations Ironhide. The Prime aesthetic is weird, with it's unholy blend of G1, Animated and Bayformers. Sometimes it means you get figures you can squeeze into a classics collection. Based on the clear official photos of the Deluxe Kup repaint of the Ironhide design, I think he'll be classics-friendly... except I'm worried he'll be really small. So far Prime figures have been pretty dainty for their price points. I'm holding out a faint hope that Hasbro might give us a Voyager Prime Ratchet, but Deluxe is probably the best we'll get for Ironhide, since he's not supposed to actually appear on the show. This Ironhide mod is actually destined for a shelf with a bunch of "hybrid" G1 bots (G1 with a slight movie twist) that I've been working half-assed on since the first movie came out. ![]() zmog image size: 500px x 275px, 18.78kb... always has been "Why is bad taste ubiquitous?" - Erik Spiekermann |
