Thanks! :thumbs2:  I'd like to think you possibly could actually... I'm trying to keep a record of what I'm doing precisely so that others might be inspired to give it a go themselves.

    UPDATE:
The headsculpt on this thing is fugly, so I'd pretty much decided not to use it and find an alternative. But no other heads seemed to fit, so I decided to experiment a bit with the KO. Think it turned out fairly decent!

More or less the final paint job, to see how it looks. I'm happy with things so far, now all I need to do is finish up the other two guys. Still a few things up my sleeve with this project though

Cheers! Yeah although I love the PE Reflector set, the KO really does look like crap with the silly colours and simplifications. I'm just glad they oversized it, otherwise I wouldn't have given it a second glance.

This is awesome so far! Any updates? Also, for the heel & hip swivels, how did you cut the styrene into circular shapes, or does it come in circular shapes? I just bought a set of these guys & want to try this too. They are huge, had no idea till I got them in hand, though the jazz arms should've been a clue, :lol !

    Thanks! :thumbs2:

It has taken a while just to replicate the first bot twice over (also by the third time it's not so much fun anymore, lol). Currently I'm working on the transformations; will post pics soon...

For the circular hip I just traced a round object (a bottle top) onto the styrene, then cut it out with scalpel and sanded the edges. The smaller circle in the middle was measured by hand since it isn't properly visible so doesn't have to be perfect.

Thanks. Bit of sanding and a couple of new bits and it's like a whole new head!

    UPDATE! Transformation.

PE Scouting Force, although great figures, is a multiple partsformer. They sort of get round it by making each removable bit of kibble have a second use as clip on armour or weapons or shields etc, but to me the G1 Reflector from the toon simply doesn't have all that baggage to carry around. I'm not even sure any of them ever had guns at all in the show!

    So, my answer...

The interiors of the lower legs store the arms when in camera mode, but this leaves the legs hollow when seen from the back in bot mode. So, it occurs to me I can fill that space. PE Reflector's camera lens is absolutely massive, and I can happily do without it as bot accessories. Instead I'm using a camera lens piece from a G1 Reflector (oversize) KO. Fits almost exactly onto the front part of my central guy. Cut into two, each half can be stored in a leg.

The central hood part of the camera I have attached via a ball joint and hinge to the inside foot (this is a mock up using a spare bot). I will also be doing a similar thing with the G1 KO flashbulb.

My favorite is how I knew you weren't just going to repaint these. You always say how long you take, but once you are done you can clearly see the thought involved in the process. Of course this makes it hard for anyone who wanted to copy your work.
