Many thanks Gents! Thanks for the kind words my friend! To what previous post were you referring tho? I look-ed but could not find! That so bad-azz! I'm guessin' you goin' for a more "Bay-verse" look on yours? Id love to see how yours comes along! Same here man, gotta love classic American muscle wrapped around a bad-ass 'Bot! Thanks dude! Would that shell be an '82 mustang? Sweet! I can easily see how the going would be slow, so much detail to work with & slap color onto! As the old saying goes tho, " Those things that are most worthwhile are seldom easy to accomplish" Keep goin brother, just look to the end of the project & imagine it how awesome it'll look when its done.. thats the only thing that keeps me goin sometimes! ---------------- Cheers Gang! ~BK
Nope an 82 corvette. tracks is one of may favorite autobots from when I was a kid. I had tried a reshell of generations red alert with a seleen s7 as blurr but i butchered two seperate car bodies and have been leery of trying it again ever since. any tips or advice....your 2pk prime inspired me to do one of those for myself (still a w.i.p 80% done) I figure that your trip-up might be the insperation I need to start my tracks reshell into tracks....lol
Oh yeah! RTS "Turbo tracks" ...der der: whatta ...Hahaha! My bad, man! Its been sooooo long since I thought of him as anything other than just "Tracks" that that caught me off guard Is that vette shell your using the Revell 1/32 snap-tite kit? If so I have the same one that came in that triple kit. I could have a look over it in comparison to my Tracks & see whats what if you need some help with him? Tho from what I remember of the Revell shell. it may be a bit too narrow around the midsection to accommodate RTS tracks without some severely heavy duty mods. As for tips tho, well, I'm new to the whole re-shell thing my ownself sooooo... ....Id say check out Wikkid's "reshell almost anything " thread: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/tutorials-how-tos/381164-re-shell-almost-anything.html It's what really gave me the courage to finally give it a go on my own! The only little thing I can say from what I've learned so far with Trip-up is Measure measure measure! It never hurts to map out ahead-of-time precisely where stuff is gonna land & mate up to ya know? Also, If you don't already own a dial caliper, I'd highly recommend getting one. They're fairly cheap, very easy to use & an invaluable tool when it comes to precision measuring! Hope that helps ya some!
A TF support group!!! thats AWESOME!! hahaha! It really is like plastic crack, aint it? Thank you good sir! Just had a look at your Cosmos there....Great googahmoogah! THAT thing is just gorgeous!! Some lucky persons gonna win that bid! Hahaha! Right you are my friend! And now...off to 'bash! Cheers gang! ~BK
are you mixing yourself or rattle canning? if you are mixing yourself see if you can mix a clear and a bronze i think that would look pretty awesome and not so in your face since the body of the altmode is white. or you could just spray bronze on the inside of the clear plastic if you are gonna spray can it
Yeah, gonna airbrush this guy so the paints are gonna be custom mixed. Great idea for mixing those two paints man, thanks so much! Thanks so much good buddy! Lovin' your latest action master bashes, especially that little Dragstrip, he's super keen! Hey my friend, thanks for the kind words! Here's where I got the feet from: Gundam Seed Astray - 00 Red Frame 1/144 Scale Model Kit: Amazon.com: Toys & Games Don't let the review fool ya, its a great kit to use as bashin' fodder! Its got some nice little polyvinyl ball joints, great detail parts, a kewl gun & most importantly...the feet! An besides, for $5, ya can't beat the price! Cheers gang! ~BK
hahahaha believe it or not i bought one of those at a walmart back in 02 still have it somewhere cant wait to see more progress
This is only my opinion but I think the darker the windows the less bot you see in the alt mode and the less bot the better . But it's all up to you, it is your creation. Eather way it will look sweet, your doing a killer job so far. Looking foreword to more updates.
This is looking great!! As for your window question, I'd go as dark as possible. As nice as clear windows are, I agree with Haze... Don't want to see the robot kibble.
Niiiiice!! You gots da feet, looks like you got a head start on making your own Trip-up! Gentlemen, thanks for the kind words!! You're both right about the kibble, it would be hidden better by the darker windows & to be honest I was leaning towards the windows being darker too! And given the fact that many of the old muscle cars came standard with black vinyl interiors ( which is what I'm shootin' for on the interior bits that'll show) dark windows would make more sense as yellowed windows would make dark interior stuff stick out like a sore manipulator! Besides, I bet the mustang would look slick as hell with smoked out window glass! Cheers gang! ~BK
loving this custom AND admire the neatness of the job you are doing! really top notch but ummmmm hate to break it to ya but that's a Barracuda not a muzzy in that IDW pic ya posted
Its really fun when people liek to try and burst others bubbles but....according to TFwiki "Generation 1 Hot Rod Patrol (Micromaster Patrol, 1990) Trip-Up transforms into a Ford Mustang hot rod, in contrast to his teammates who turn into much older cars. He was only available in the Hot Rod Patrol four-pack with his teammates Big Daddy, Greaser and Hubs. More information on Trip-Up at TFU.info" Straight from the page Trip-Up - Transformers Wiki thanks for playing though...keep up the good work budah
are you referring to my comment leobreaker1977? coz that comic picture IS a Barracuda i dont care what any wiki says!
