Yeah, I think you're right. I'm going to change my approach and attitude. I'll finish up the major painting now and then add it in my rotation of minor touch-ups and paint apps for further work...
Almost done! Finished dry brushing and did most of the green. Turns out the special green I bought, mixed with a little of my default Testors green, comes pretty close. Next time I work on him I plan to add some more green and other details, then I'll be done! (Aside from future touch-ups...)
complete! Thanks! He's now finished, more or less I'm now displaying him with my collection and have moved him into my rotation of toys to touch up and detail. I'm very happy with how he looks, but please feel free to give advise since I'll still be working on him here and there in the future. Please forgive the sideways pics. Due to the Firefox issues,I had to load these with my phone and I don't know how to rotate pics with it...
Love the green you used. IMO, I'd go light on the detail paint apps....honestly, to me, he looks quite good as is right now. If you ever decide to part ways with this guy, let me know. I love it, and would love to add him to my Alt collection.
Thanks Andy! I hope you can find one. He's one of my favorite Alternators... Thanks for following along and giving your input! Yeah, I'm thinking further work will just involve smoothing edges and then repainting them... I was fortunate that it was really easy to mix the green to resemble the stock green. I just took some little dabs of Testors green and mixed it with the special citadel green... Will do, though I don't foresee that happening. You've done great work, I bet you could make one of these, and even better!
