Well i had some time to play with today and thought it was about time for me to start my 3rd Dinobot Slag. He will be fully transformable and Based on the good old G1 but brought well upto date. If you followed my Sludge build then you know there is allot of work that goes onto these so this is just a starting point. you can check out my Masterpiece Sludge here All the Best and hope you like.
i love the use of tamiya paint lids, at least that what they look like. Promising start, Im sure you will do a great job. Of course I will be wating this for inspairation. Have you thought on the transformation process yet. Will it be genuin G1 transformation down to the a 'T'. I have a though that would get rid of some dino leg kibble if you are interested...
Hey Dawgstar I'm just down the road from you at Ashford! Small world...... Maybe we could collaborate if you needed me to take 6 months to paint it haha Good start and shaping up nicely like your other projects.
Just out of curiosity, what are you sculting it out of? Are you using styrene or some kind of wood....???
Hi buddy. It's made from a sort of styrene. infact it is made from old billboards smiler to walls icecream stands found at most seaside's. it is much easier to cut than styrene and sands like a dream. once i finish it with 1200 grade wet and dry it comes up so smooth. I use this for all my builds and once complete you would never know. it is so fast to work with and is almost as strong as styrene and best of all FREE you can find thinner stuff from your local best buy store. LG and Sony were using this to promote they TV's etc. Try it out its wicked.
This is what i did today. I have used the cast of sludge for parts so that i can mod them to suite Slag and are just stand in's for now. The wing part was a right pain in the butt and will need a slight re-mold at a later date. Remember this is still early days and lots of work to come. All the best Arun
dude this is looking amazing, i might have to try this at a smaller scale for my classics collection, keep up the good work brother
