W.I.P. Universe Nebulon NIGHTSTICK

Hey Gang!

When I first started this guy a loooong while ago, I was just going to make him super-poseable (thanks to inspiration by my good buddy & resident GOD of re-articulation, "WheelJack"The Sector70 Lab ) but then as time went on I thought " why not make him look like who he's SUPPOSED to look like? " So now the ultimate goal is to make him as close as possible to IDW's artwork while still maintaining nearly the same Gun mode that he originally had. Still got lots to do yet, more joints, ND magnets & lots of Mud to add so keep tuned!

Here's the laundry list:

Nightstick Xtras:


1- New head sculpt

2- Ball jointed neck

3- Ball jointed hips w/ new waist section

4- Ball jointed ankles

5- Poseable toe tips

6- Magnetically detachable "Mini Fusion Cannon"

7- Hinged gun grip located on back

8- Pivot joints located under main shoulder ball& socket joints

9- Ball jointed hands

10- Mini blaster for 'bot mode

11- Resculpted chest & shoulders to match G1 style Nightstick

Got a fair bit more done on Nightstick here, more bulking out, details added & finally happy with the headsculpt (sorry bout the blurriness gang, tried to get in as tight as I could but this guys soooo small its was really hard)

In this pic, the two little gold dots on his left forearm are ND magnets that hold his Mini Fusion cannon in place:





Getting the beginnings of the "Alt mode"







You can see here how his smaller energy pistol magnetically "pops" onto the underside of the mini fusion cannon to become a laser sight in Gun mode. Again, the little gold dot is an ND magnet to hold the pistol in place. Also, how the Ordinance Hardpoint doubles as the laser sight housing in gun mode:

What you're seeing as far as the arms & legs go is just the underlying structure that will be heavily built up upon using Apoxie sculpt. The end result will,hopefully, look like the IDW artwork!

very impressive work so far. I can only imagine how fiddly it is to work on figures this size that have articulation. warhammer I can do, but this sorta thing's outta my league
