Jaw dropping, I can't stop looking at it. Have a few question though.

I recognize the white as styrene (I think) but what is the grey and didyou sculpt or buy those pieces?

Also, where does everyone get these little ball joints and such?

Last question, is there are 'How To..' thread for stuff like this?

Thanks and let me know!!!

Thanks so much for the compliments, sorry it took so long to get back to ya on this!

The white bits are white sheet styrene of varying thicknesses which you can get thru most good hobby shops or online for that matter.

As for the Grey parts, they're made from the putty I use which is Ave's studios "Apoxie Sculpt" & I can't recommend it highly enough!! You can get it here:

ApoxieŽ Sculpt

I use the Silver-grey myself as it has powdered metal in it which makes it much stronger when cured. But, the natural is also good..any dark color( especially greys) will help you see the detail better while you work!

As for the tiny ball & socket joints, I'm using hacked & spliced Pop-joints from "MEGA-BLOKS Plasma Dragons Battle Realm Booster pack" figures (mostly). They're kind of a bugger to refine bein' that theyr'e so small, but well worth the effort! They come 8 figures to a pack & ea. little nerd has 5 pop-joints for a total of 40 pop-joints! Certainly worth the $2 price tag.

lastly, I wish there were tutorials on these little guys,.... they woulda saved me a lot of headaches!

Hope some of that helped a bit!

Cheers!

Thanks so much for the great compliments my friend!

It'd be cool if Arcee could hold this guy but I think her slender little arms might not have the strength to keep him elevated...
....whoa....that just sounded really wrong...is it too late to take that back??

This may be the best transformer i've ever seen in my life. Had it been more than 2.75 inches tall i'd not say this. If it weren't for the swivel biceps (aka 8- Pivot joints located under main shoulder ball& socket joints) i wouldn't say this.

The only thing that could have topped this is if this were a Headmaster that could fit inside a vehicle as a driver or pilot.

The amount of detail you've gotten into this guy at this size is awesome! I first saw your WIP stuff and thought "OK, that's a cool looking bot there..." and then I saw the size comp shots and I was just floored... really awesome looking stuff you got there mate.
