    Fakebusker -

    Thanks for the graphic!
Even without the tail, this guy is really neat.

Of course, after I email them, I lose (my fault this time) one of the ball-jointed arms to one of the Thuggers. Tried forcing it into the socket (got tired of sanding and sanding, my poor fingers) and it vanished. Didn't even hear it land. Girlfriend and I tore the room apart, and we've come to the conclusion that it must have disintegrated :p  .

If anyone has any extra Thugger bits, I'll buy 'em from you!

My Purrdator. Coloured almost exclusively with black Sharpie, and very minimal paint.

The rockets are actually silver, they just look purple because of the black light behind him.

Incidentally, it's hard to paint such tiny faction symbols. >_>

I've found that pretty much all of Shapeways stuff is best in WSF-Polished. It's still one of the cheapest options and you don't have that rough, gritty texture of the regular WSF.

SWEET. The glowing eyes freak me out! Which brand of fluorescent paint are you using?

Thanks stevil33, firehawc is right, WSFP is usually the best. Just anticipate that the ball joints will be slightly looser on this material due to the polishing process, but it shouldn't be a big problem.

I'm using Americana brand Neons acrylic paints. The yellow is sold as-is and the purple is a custom mix (approximately 3 parts electric blue and 2 part sizzling pink).

Having the approval of the creator gives me a happy feeling. :D

Just got mine assembled today. Had one printed in BSF and one in WSF - the WSF one had a lot of extra powder on it; I even soaked and scrubbed it and it was all over the sockets and various crevices.

At any rate, another cleaning, some glue on a few loose ball joints on the BSF one, then it's time to paint. These are amazing little figures!

I don't know. I usually fine with using glue to tighten joints but I had a Thugger in WSF whose leg fused to the ball joint after a few months of display. I tried to move it and tore the ball joint off the crotch. I fear glue might have the same result.

I also have a Purrdator in WSFP who had extremely loose joints. I've used floor polish to tighten them but I'm scared for his ball joints as well.
