Question, what does the FROSTED ULTRA DETAIL look like?

got myself a pair of these and painted them up in dark steel with dry brushed metalllic silver  
they look SICK!!!!! I didnt think theyd look so much like the model kit hands. Unbelievable man! Cant wait for the next props ur gonna bring  : i will post a pic of my Koof/fakebusker powered Jetwing prime when i get a chance

i wanna see how frosted ultra detail looks like? i have ordered strong flexible and it's kinda rough for me  

 

frosted details would break apart, no chance of safty assembling, trust me...

 

Im new to this and just saw the items you have buddy...AMAZING!!! im interested in getting a few items actually, but can you let me know the following:

Strong and flexible seems to be the best for this item in particular....is it also the best to paint them? what paint can be used to paint this and the other items in general....Im looking to get the articulated hands for all the leader class figures you have....would strong and flexible also work for those..thanks buddy

 

I work with Solidworks where I work, and I love how you used the Cad. I have wanted to get into molding some parts. I know the CAD but know nothing of molding plastics at home. I would love to recreate Some of the G1 (Macross) Jetfire parts. Love the hands keep up the great work.

whats the difference between strong and flexible vs. strong and flexible polished? how is the paint affected by these 2 finishes....I would like to paint the hands the silver metallic color....would the white work better or the black strong and flexible?...

Unfortunately no...

Strong Flexible will work for all my hand designs. I would recommend just getting them in white, and painting over in a base black before your silver drybrushing, as it will be more consistent than having Shapeways dye it for you. WSF-Polished tends to make the details washed out as the grinding process removes the top layer of powder. It's better for shapes with large smooth surfaces.

 

I love these set (both knuckle dusters and ordinary). Some great attention to detail.

I'd love to get a set for my Striker/Jetwing Prime but have no idea how to prep and paint before adding them. Do you (or anyone on the forum) do the hands painted? I'd love to add these to my Prime.

If you are referring to the deluxe Que figure, then unfortunately not. His hands are too small to be made posable. Only leader scaled hands or large voyager hands can be reliably made.

 

what about extra tools and weapons that could be placed both two 5mm back holds and hands, well i mean at least when you have time
