They come two to a set, connected by a little sprue that you have to cut off. It makes it easier for the shapeways techs to remove it from the printer that way and so there's no ambiguity between what a customer is supposed to be getting.

I'm going to paint it. I'd like to give dyeing a shot at some point, but I think for now some tamiya clear red on the blade should do it. I hope so, at least. Solid stuff!!

The swiperblaster isn't available for sale.
the Grim Warrior Sword recommends White, Strong & Flexible Polished but that isn't an option, but it looks like Transparent detail is the way to go, anyway.
