Consider me VERY intrested in a kit for Stormshred and possibly the other 2.

I like what FP have done in adding their own spin on the Insecticon designs but more G1 authenticity is always nice.

Super hyped you 2 are doing sets of these, looks great really wakes uppp the mold to scream g1/classics insecticons

Btw, what did you use for the clips, and does the head turn?

 

i think the clips are just part of the original (althoug it was a hole) with a section removed so it can act as a clip. (hope that makes sense)

 

I would prefer to avoid damaging the original toy parts, I'm sure I will eventually sell my collection years down the road :/
Maybe I'll just get the kit, but I don't know if I like the chrome on this fig, grey would be great.

 

i was reffering to the g1 toy not the fansproject one (which you mentioned you had a set to tear up)

 

I may end up buying a set too once a thread goes up. I'm still waiting for my Thundershred to begin with though.

The first set of pinchers were from the G1 toy with a small section removed to act as clips like Megatron31 mentioned.I later added real clips from the axe of Wreck-Gar to give it a more secure fit.

Yes the head does turn

There will be no damage to the FP figure with the kit.These are made for simple clip and play.No mods needed.

The final parts will NOT be the shiny G1 chrome as shown.I just made them for mine and didn't plan on doing a kit at first until all the interest in it.They will be used as the masters for the casts to be made from.

 

cant wait to see the kit. this is gonna be a great addon to what is already an excelent update to some famous charactures.  

 

I am also looking forward to getting this kit as well as the Bombshell & Kickback versions. I really like the FansProject Insecticons but these kits will make them so much better.

I passed on these from FP but now it looks like I'm going to have to pick them up based on these custom parts alone. I don't know whether to be upset (my wallet) or be excited   j/k Can't wait for more info on these.
