So, I've finally decided to jump on the bandwagon and start modifying my BattleBlade Bumblebee. I will try to do as much as possible to mod it like Savio-Prime's until his kit is released. I'm also going to mod it to make it more similar to DOTM Bumblebee Edit: Gems added to eyes Edit: The little bug is finished! There were many mods made to this guy, some of which involved transferring parts from a junker Battle Blade BB to replace failed mods. Parts included are: 2 HFTD Battle Blade BB's (1 as the base body, the other for it's cannon and spare parts) 1 Energon Strong Arm Balljoint (For the back) 2 TFTM Swindle hands (For leg ball joints) 1 TFTM Salvage spoiler Mods include: Hood split- splits into 4 pieces, to make more bulk and to mimic the DOTM collar pieces Second Blaster- removable Rotating back- To simulate back wings (Due to the ball joint, there is a small bump in his back) Rotating Leg panels- to match DOTM style Eye gems- to give figure more life Added spoiler Failed mods/Mods to be revisited- DOTM Chest/Chest split Wrist joints (however, decided not to do this) Foot mod (Will try to do when savio-prime's kit comes out) Accidents (to both me and the figure lol) Chest split- broke while cutting, had to transfer chest from other BB. Got cut twice in the process Foot mod- while attempting to do the foot mod, the Wheel broke of of the left foot. It's currently kept in place by superglue. Accessories: Battle Ax: Made from BB's left arm gauntlet, ax, and 2 bionicle pieces. Only fits in left arm Hope you guys like him!
Thanks! and yeah, here's a tip- don't cut the BB chest with an Exacto knife. Got two deep cuts and the chest broke. Luckily I had a spare to transplant.
Update with eye gems. Okay, so I'm going to paint this with School Bus Yellow mixed with Light Orange. Let's hope it matches! Edit: I actually have two different color samples. Which do you think looks better? (These were just painted on to simulate the color, the paint has been stripped since then.) The right piece was painted with a mix of Gold and School Bus Yellow The left piece was painted from the same mix, but with a dab of red added. Which do you think would be a better color choice for BB?
OK please remember the spoiler is the back wings in the movie now not the tiny windows. It spits up and gos where they used to. So far so good!
Update 8/2/11 Arms are done, no wrist mod. May install later. Working on spoiler/back wings and chest

Leg panels are done! Working on lower legs and chest. Also, found out that DOTM BB's color is more like an "amber" than sunrise yellow, so the mix I made matches it better
