Hey guys, I've finished my alpha build of Leader Optimus' hands. Mostly similar in build to Sentinel Prime's hands, but it features different etchings at the back, and I designed it to be capable of holding 5mm mechtech weapons and his original weapons, namely Jetfire's rifle and Buster Prime's rifle. I will be getting a test sample soon, but it will be open for orders. Those who want to get it now, be aware it is untested so it might not be able to hold his own weapons afterall. The joints and 5mm grips should be working, though. Enjoy! Order here.
WOOT! I just got my Sentinel today.. So, I'm going to get the hands for both Sentinel and Optimus when it becomes available... You might want to add some weapons, if possible.

when you paid today, you'll receive an confirmation-mail withing the next 2 to 5 days. in this mail is the expected date of delivery (exepct feoreign customs-issues!) all is fine mate and one thing: it's important to know which material you've used, strong and flexible started to create withing 10 days after paying, all other a lot later!
Both sets of hands look like they'd be great for gestalt hands for the Energon combiners. Having articulated fingers for the Gestalts would be a great bonus, and I might need to pick up a set.
hey fakebusker, just a suggestion, but do you think you couls extend the plate that sits on the top of op's hands to just over his knuckles?? Or maybe shorten his fingers a bit perhaps?? Just a thought, but the proportions seem just a tad off for some reason.
As far as the Ironhide hands go, I could send you some pictures and measurements of the forearms disassembled. From the looks of things, at least his left hand wouldn't be that hard to do. I haven't taken his right arm apart yet. But since you don't have the figures, I'd be happy to test them instead. The biggest issue with hands for Ironhide, I think, would be the four circles over his hands. I'm going to take another look at how they sit in vehicle mode, though. ANyway, if you want me to send you the pics, just shoot me a PM with your e-mail address and I can send them from my phone.
Incredible work as usual, Fake! To everyone else: I highly recommend buying this in strong & flexible + polished. I just received a small batch of parts, and my socks are knocked off. It is easily the closest material and finish Shapeways has to ABS plastic. The finish is super smooth, and there's hardly a discernible texture. Even parts printed with the detail materials don't look this good.
That's some bloody fast turnaround if you've already gotten the hands. I wish my turnaround time was that fast!
