Nice custom, It still amazes me, how many customs you can build in such a short time, I am starting to believe that your day consists out of 30 hours at least Wish I had so much time, since I had to temporarely stop working on my bumblebee because I'm too busy with school at the moment.
Ha ha! I've got a great job where I can work on them here and there. At home I've got them on a rotation. When I'm able to, one night I'll work on Devastator, the next I'll work on a smaller project (currently my Ark), and the third I'll work on some kind of painting (which had been HA Bee)...
quick question... how sturdy is this stuff? I mean given these are tf's you want to transform them so if it rubs off or is too fragile then would only be good for display pieces?
Thanks! Unfortunately I can't answer your question, I don't have a leader Bee or have even held one... It's not very sturdy. I like to put Future on it but it still scratches off. It's definitely better for display only pieces. My toys are mostly on display, but I let my kids play with them some too. My customs are just for my collection and I don't mind fixing paint and chrome scratches when they occur. For this last shoot, I had to put some new chrome on the Chevy symbol and on one of the CAMARO letters...
Yeah, they're not as good as a painting on chrome I'm sure, but it's something I'm able to do at my job and works well for my situation. Just like I'm unable to use spary paint or an air brush for now
Good Stuff HT! The hands look great! I'll answer this one for you since my HA Bee is sportin' a dotm leader bee head: Yes, it looks very good, better detailing and a better battle mask, but it needs to be modded, dotm leader Bee's head is on a swivel joint, so you need to convert it to work on a ball joint.
Thanks Gatchaman! If I ever can find a leader Bee on discount, I might have to use the head for HA Bee and the body for a reshell of some other character...
I think they're really close. Looking at the hand when it's folded back for the cannon to be used, the open hand is about the same length as Bee's forearm. I tried doing the same thing with my hand and forearm, and it's actually pretty close...
3-18-13 update I spent about an hour painting him some more last night. Did a little more dry brushing on his legs and did some washes here and there. Still more to do for next time...
It must be the lighting. Next time I take pics of a TF that I applied gold paint to, I'll have to pay close attention and see if I can get the color to show up better...
