There's something wrong with this link:

When I click on it, the page says, "Sorry, you don't have permission to perform this action".

    It's good! :thumbs2:

Just ordered 3 sets because I am working on modifying/part-swapping/recoloring 3 ROTF Voyager Starscream molds as the Movieverse versions of Ramjet, Skywarp, and Thundercracker!

As you can see here: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/328493-rotf-hftd-voyager-ramjet-wip-part-2-a.html, my custom Ramjet is progressing well and the set from fakebusker83 will make it a masterpiece! :rock

Looking good, sir! I assume these would also fit the new DOTM Voyager Starscream figure as well (since it's the same as the ROTF mold from what I've read, just different color scheme)?

And please please please tell me that you're modifying the weapons of this set for DOTM Deluxe Starscream/Thundercracker so they can fit in the 5mm peg holes on their arms. That would make my day!

Thanks guys! Making people happy is my game :)
It actually doesn't take much to make this mold much better. Too bad Hasbro was unable to push their full design through. It would have been so much more awesome...

    Ureliable good? :lol

Thanks for your glowing comments Lime! As I mentioned in the other thread, I'm no deity lol so I can't do everything...but keep your ideas coming! They're awesome!

Hmm...simple idea and application I dig it!
Gatling gun and 6 missile launcher (null ray?) for DOTM Starscream on 5mm ports is very much possible. I'm not sure how much smaller I have to make them (I don't have the figure yet) so let me think about it.
I was just thinking all the mechtech weapons are already so chunky, I might not need to change the sizes after all...

Another thought, you can use the minigun from the 3.75" movie War Machine figure for deluxe SS. The size might work too.

As for you sir that's an awesome paint job! I don't recall seeing it on the boards did you create a thread? The paint is so good, if you didn't put the leader class there I wouldn't have realised how small it is! :thumb

Naah...Now I think this is where Shapeways will hit their limits. The joints will simply be too small...2.5mm dia. ball is currently my smallest, safest ball joint. Anything smaller just snaps. :(

Do it! I co-sign non-tattooed Starscreams any day! (No offense to all ink fans out there lol)

    They are delicious!

Stay tuned. I'm working on them...

Thanks for the support! As always, be careful during assembly!

@OmarJT Nice work on Ramjet. I hope to see the complete Seeker set!

If it's the same mold, then yeah it'll work! Nebular Starscream as well...

    Dude, this is effing awesome!!!

Here's another idea though: Please make a better head for Protector! The Fans Project one is 'okay' but it could've been SO much better. Also, what about some other parts for common custom kitbash figz?? Think of Leader Optimus Prime Jet Armor man, that'd be killer right there!

Leader jet amor would be terrible expensive, nearly 40$ per wing!

Thanks very much, fakebusker! Please do let us know if you modify the weapons of this set for DOTM Deluxe Screamer/TC; I'm sure myself and a lot of other fans of the mold would really appreciate it!

I actually don't think much resizing needs to be done since the weapons you already made (the gatling gun and the 6-missile bladed "null ray" cannon - that's what it's referred to as by the movie designers, I believe) are already on the fairly small side and look pretty good as they are, at least to me. If you don't mind picking up a Deluxe Starscream (he's pretty cheap and widely available), more direct and better comparisons can probably be made.

I think the weapons just need 5mm pegs attached to them (the bottom of the gatling gun) and some way for the null ray to attach to his wrist (the hands fold up and away onto the inside of the forearm very neatly). Maybe a 5mm pegged flat piece with two more missiles on top (to simulate the pop-out ones of Leader Screamer's forearm) will work, and have that connect to the back of the null ray as well.

Oh, and if you could have the fins of the null ray rotate together and spin independently of the rest of the assembly (as they are shown to do in the movies when Screamer shoots his missiles), that would be pretty wicked too! Can these Voyager add-ons you designed/made already do this? I think you mentioned they could move somehow.

And thanks for the kind words on my custom Starscream! I actually bought it from a customizer off eBay. It's my first custom Transformer ever and I think I might be dangerously hooked now, lol. I might start a thread about it with better pictures but I'm just waiting to find the time and put some incoming Reprolabels on him first.

I really do feel your weapon add-ons would be perfect for this mold as well (his default mechtech weapons instead look much better on Leader/Masterpiece Starscream since they're way too big for the Deluxe version), and to really complete his movie screen-accurate look!

Thanks again for your kickass custom design work!

Never trust technology...They will conquer us someday...lol.

Protector head huh...What's wrong with it? I thought FP did a good job with the whole set, though I kinda dislike the face for the Scyther version. Anyway, I wouldn't wanna step on their toes trying to 'fix' their stuff. Among 3rd party creators, it's only politeness......?

Other common parts like fists, heads, weapons, etc I'm definitely game for. In fact that's what I'm doing now :)
I'm not really familiar with OP's jet armour though. Is it very big? When Lime mentioned it costs $40+ I nearly freaked out...

    Yep! No resizing needed!
Your suggestions are pretty awesome...I never thought to have the fins rotate independently from the missiles. That could be interesting. To have them attach to a double missile piece on the forearm like the leader class sounds kinda intriguing, though I'd like to simplify by having the 6 missiles attach directly onto the 5mm port.

The movable parts are the twin blades that fold backwards to hide in jet mode, as well as each tri-missile piece rotating 90 deg to be flushed with the jet fuselage. I might do the same thing for the deluxe version so they fold neatly under the wings.

The gatling gun is straightforward enough to do.

Query: Do you want the spinning disc blade? The only problem I have is finding a place to store it in jet mode.

Wow! That does look nice sized just as they are! Thanks very much for this, fakebusker! And I appreciate you taking my shot-in-the-dark ideas to heart.

Oh, I think I missed the part where you explained how those parts fold up into the jet alt mode better. That's very cool! Wonder how it looks on the Deluxe Starscream. Are they too big for him or just right?

The gatling gun definitely is very straight forward and looks great on him already! The null ray looks pretty good too. Like you, I would prefer things simplified if necessary to preserve the integrity of the figure and the pieces, so nothing breaks or hangs too loosely.

The spinning fins would be a really nice extra bonus (for movie authenticity but I'll have to re-watch video clips to see if they really do spin independently from the rest of the assembly/missiles) but it's not a total necessity, at least to me. I'd feel the same way about the buzzsaw, or even theoretical boosters on his back (incidentally, have you seen this yet? - http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers...eam-third-party-add-on-set-new-images-172438/ ). Personally, I don't mind a little (leftover) partsforming when it comes to weapons but others (or yourself) may not feel the same way.

I'm for whatever preserves the integrity of the weapon molds, looks great (and as close enough to his onscreen persona without sacrificing too much said integrity), and can still be had for a decent price on Shapeways (taking complexity of parts into account).

I think I can speak for most here when I say we trust you to make something truly unique and great when it comes to making great Starscream figures even better! Heck, what you posted already looks awesome!

Thanks again, and can't wait to see the results!

My only issue: Can you change the weapons so they hang completely under the wing where they are out of sight when viewed from the top? F-22s don't really have missles there.

I did that originally cuz I took some artistic liberty with the design; I wanted the missiles to stick out slightly so it's obvious they're there.

I could modify the design though, it entails shortening the launcher/missiles which will make it look awkward in bot mode. So I rather not do that and take the middle route. (sorry! )

Besides, movie Starscreams have the long tradition of kibble sticking out of their jet modes (DOTM deluxe, TFTM voyager, etc). Accuracy be damned :lol

    Okay dude,

I'm just done designing the weapon set for the deluxe figure. So it comes with a gatling gun and a 6-missile launcher. The kicker comes when you realise the launcher can be transformed into his bot mode rear thrusters! The fins and blades fold backwards to lie flush with the thrusters as well.

Assembled missile launcher for bot mode.

The set is designed such that everything has a place in jet mode; you can mount his thrusters underwing, and the missiles and gun can be stored in the other 5mm hardpoints.

Too bad I can't think of a satisfactory way of making the fins spin independently from the missiles though. That would be awesome indeed.

The gun and missiles are the same size as the voyager version, FYI.

The main discussion thread is here.
If you can't wait for me to test print it to check for problems, you can order it here too! It shouldn't have any problems, but you never know...
