well this was heavily inspired by Joey_Santana's version of Impactor
    http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/390685-impactor-lsotw-classics-generations.html

and thanks to hthrun who traded me for the g1 perceptor. couldnt do this without you.

i plan to make mine as similar as i can, just hopefully a more IDW accurate head.

    parts used to far:
arms/ shoulder joints - Alt Swindle
    legs - G1 Perceptor
    body - Armada Demolisher

    UPDATE! 8/2/11
Well i got an Astrotrain head. thanks to Spoonman. and im gonna mod it up of course to match Impactor. i changed up the hips by using bionicle ball joints. and i added a bicep swivel, which honestly isnt that great. its my first time attempting this. but i used bicep swivels from cybertron thundercracker cut down.

im working on his harpoon/hook hand next, then maybe giving him some bicep articulation and then just added details to give him more of the Impactor look

let me know what you think

if you're looking for heads I think RTS Perceptor's could pass as well as Astrotrain and Ironhides ;)

I KNEW Armada Demolishor's upper torso would work for an Impactor custom! Also, smart idea about the leftover treads from Perceptor's legs. I'm curious as to how you wil handle the sholder cannon, too.

^Or a Cyclonus with the "ears" cut off and sanded down. Nice stuff, man, I love the use of parts. Very original, not something I would have ever thought of.

Yaay! As I can see you're making this one great Javaco!

I'm glad too see I could inspire you on the making of this and as far as I can see you are reproducing it brilliantly.

Nice choice for the arms, and about the head, man just like Rotorstorm said if you manage to attach a balljointed RTS Perceptors head that will be spot on.

I recently discovered that Classics Ironhide's head is sorta slightly small for this torso, but it can be used too.

If you need any help just LMK.

    Good luck man.

I saw the original that Joey did (which was EPIC) and I love what you have here so far. You guys have both made me want to do one now, just for the fun of it. lol (I'll probably do more scratchbuilding since I don't have a G1 Perceptor, but it should be a fun build when/if I get around to it).

Awesome! That head fits on there pretty nicely and I think the bicep joints look solid.
