I guess it's just the smaller the figures are, the more difficult it becomes to make them perfect? At least "The Snitch" is good, save for the extremely fragile and loose wingtips. In the end, it isn't a total loss. At least I still have my Perfect Effect Frenzy and Rumble figures, although my Frenzy figure has a messed up chest due to a manufacturing error. Looking back at everything, I haven't had very much luck with third party figures. Maybe it's time I start to really think and do some research before I hit the "buy it now" button.

you do realize myself and others have been using these since they came out and have several of em each and none of us had the problems you are experiencing.... wouldnt that suggest that A) you got a bad copy or B) you just arent doing it right?

Hi guys,

I'm back from a week long getaway and boy I didn't expect to see such a long conversation here.

TQX, I have complete confidence you had assembled the Thugger correctly. As some of the board members here have suggested, my main suspicion for the problem is that either Shapeways gave you a bad print (warpage, wrong size, etc) or there is a clump of powder stuck in the gaps of the lower feet which might be obstructing transformation.

As for the floppy feet, a bit of glue on the ball joints' balls might help tighten those joints. If I remember correctly, the balls connecting to the thighs maybe larger than the balls at the knees. It is not advisable to assemble them contrary to what the instructions show.

I apologise that you have had all these issues with the Thugger. I have never seen or heard of similar problems with other buyers, so I'm curious about this fault you've discovered. Have a look at your Thugger again and see if there is any excess powder. Brush out or carve to fit. If you still face problems with the Thugger, pm me and I'll resolve it personally.

I've had minor issues getting one of my Thuggers into casstet mode and another has slightly larger pieces making assembly difficult. But the issues you have are very uncommon. Don't dismiss all of Fakebuskers stuff because of one bad print. I also have 40 Scrapplets and there is nothing as bad as your Thugger.

I will always tell people Shapeways stuff is worth it but you have to expect some oddities once in a while.

Thanks guys for all your advice, help and support! Very, very much appreciated! Sounds like you 3 are the top buyers of Shapeways products! After hearing all you have to say about it Yes I agree, Shapeways print quality has been iffy sometimes, but I know that they are putting in moves to make their products more reliable, which is good for you, good for me!

@Ryoku Man, I knew you had an army going on there but I didn't realise it's an ARMADA.

I haven't seen a lot of good pictures of the weapon mode. I'm considering getting two to mount on the wings of my Arms Micron Soundwave, alone with a Purrdator to mount on top if it has a 5mm peg for it.

Thanks for the pics! Does Purrdator have a weapon mode? If not, no big deal; three minions should be plenty.

do you have the legs on backwards? I'm embarrassed to say I had the same problem because I had the lower legs on the wrong way.... Look at the first page

I just ordered my first Shapeways product, the 4.0 Thugger, a few days ago. I cannot wait to get it in-hand! Received an email today saying my figure was being created, and I must say that it is nice to receive email updates like this. Unbelievably excited!!!!
