And since I had some extra time, I started working on making the shovel tongue split as sez recommended earlier. Thanks sez! |

Assuming I don't add an Overload, he should be lighter overall than the stock toy. The stock Mixmaster was the heaviest part before, and I'm pretty sure this new head assembly will be lighter. Right now it feels pretty light aside from the batteries... |

Since my last post I attached the head to the connector and tried it out last night. It worked splendidly! The head poses and stays together much better now! I forgot to try putting Devastator on all fours, I'll have to remember to try that next time... Most of these pics were before I attached the tongue, which I did right at the end. Next time I work on him that should be dried and secure. I'm going to keep adding Apoxie Sculpt to make the connector sturdier.... |

It was a little bit of a challenge, but when I extended back Scavenger's shovel arm it was a lot easier. The head is propped up with Mixmaster's wheels, but they can slide off of Scavenger's treads pretty easily. I'll have to make some kind of clamps or something... Now with the head attached, it looks like I can remove Scavenger's shovel and fit it behind the head. That should really help the look if I can get it to work, imo. I've also started dismantling some Mixmaster junkers I got on eBay to use for further decorating... |

I attached a couple to the battery panel to make it look better and more screen accurate. Later on I plan to move the parts from Mixmaster's cement barrel to these... The next pic shows the panels taped on for a test fitting. I was pleased so I dremeled the box off the top of one and taped a twist tie to it and the adjacent panels, as can be seen in the fourth pic. As shown in the last two pics, this method allows the vortex to open and close. Next I will permanently attach more twist ties to the top one and get going on the side ones... |

Just a few update pics. It's going a little slowly as I need to wait for one or two areas of Apoxie Sculpt to dry before I can work on other areas... |
