I only just got "into" the new Transformers film aesthetic. Previously
I preferred the G1/Generations stuff but lately I have been
opening up to the movie goodness that's out there. This
Megatron didn't scream great, but I wanted to give him a more
metalized paint job anyway. I didn't care for the ice all over
everything so I unscrewed what I could and painted what I could not
    (wings).

Sorry only 1 pic; had trouble focusing this morning.

Painted him all in gloss black, then drybrushed silver. Painted his eyes
a gloss red and used some gold highlights on a few parts.

He looks so pissed off. Nice apps, very much better than the original scheme.

Nice. Keep up the good work :thumbs2:

The movie toys do lend themselves well for practicing realistic paint fx.

Was he hard to open up and de-ice? I've been debating about doing the same to mine but I'm afraid all his automorph gears inside will fall out and I won't be able to fix him.

This was a loose voyager Megatron I got off ebay from the 1st movie... no mechanisms to fall out that I was aware of. Anyway, yeah it was easy to remove the ice, just unscrew
