Hey everybody, here is the second installment of my interpretation of Classics Throttlebots, by popular demand the one and only Goldbug. As with his buddy Freeway >> http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radic...ebots-1-6-freeway.html?highlight=throttlebots << his head has been articulated, and i've added much needed legs and arms. His waist also swivels. As always, comments and crits are appreciated, thanks for stopping in, God bless.
he looks pretty cool man. you gonna give him some detail paint?...like on the lights and what not? regardless of that, he looks like he loads of fun to pose and play with
Dude that is so siiick! Nice work once again man! If you want some detail check out this set, it includes upgrade stickers for Goldbug and Chase, which I'm assuming you are eventually doing Reprolabels.com -
My favourite little guy all grown up! That's freakin awesome. I was never a fan of the old throttlebots (just too...unposeable), but this? I'd buy this in a second.
Neat You could do this for a G1 BB figure too. Also, is it possible to get the rear wheels to fold up under the back window? It may make it look a bit cleaner Just a though.
Fantastic! This is the one I was waiting for! Still curious what joints you were using for the legs... zmog
Thanks PK, I do intend to paint these guys and give them detail and all that, but I want to wait until I get all 6 done and then hit them up in one shot, plus I live in a condo and do not have the space to paint inside, so I gotta wait until the good weather comes back. All in due time my man. I actually bought all the upgrade sets you mentioned a long time ago when I had G1 figures. I may just do it again, all of the Throttlebot ones are awesome, wish I had kept them Thank you my man, appreciate it. I actually am toying with the idea of using my extra Goldbug for a more size appropriate Classics Bee, and I was going to use Chase for a Cliffjumper, gotta finish the Throttlebots first though. Unfortunately as to the wheels folding up, no can do, not enough clearance i'm afraid. Thanks fellas. As to the joints, for the legs and shoulders I am using Legends Tracker Hound balljoints, and Machine Wars arms (Skywarp, Prowl, Mirage, and Megatron and Megaplex) for most of the forearm work and the guns. I also am using Cybertron Legends Soundwave parts to attach the doors. Lastly I am using the Tracker Hound wheels for the wheels on these guys.
Love it. I would strongly suggest painting these and then applying the Reprolabel upgrade kits. Then you wouldn't even have to worry about the detail work.
This is exactly why this project excites me! I've had a Goldbug kicking around for a while now for exactly that purpose (VW classics BB). Incidentally, if you go forward with the Cliffjumper project from Chase, I'd be interested in getting Chase' leftover head from you, if you don't need it... zmog
