Ok..when I saw earlier pics of this WiP, I was doubtful that this would work..but after seeing these pics, I am impressed. This is one awesome custom Slag.

I love how the front legs go to filling out the upper torso instead of just becoming robot arms.....very cool

nice, paint could be tidier though.. if you do several very thin coats it will come out much nicer

Thanks! I can't wait to see you're interpretations of the Dinobots too.

Yeah, Soundwave doesn't really scream "Turn me into a robotic Triceratops" but it turned out nicely. I would love to make the other Dinobots but this is a one shot deal. This figure was just something to do during my winter break from college.

    Thank you!

Possibly the best movie reference into compliment I have ever heard. Thanks :)

I would be rather sad if the Triceratops didn't historically exist anymore. It's always been my favorite dinosaur, ever since I was a kid.

    Thanks for the compliments guys!

    Thanks!

Thanks! If your's turns out half as great as your Sludge then it's still going to be all kinds of cool.

    Thank you!

I have the original too and there is no way I could ever take it under the knife(dremel tool?). By chance I had a junker figure with a broken off triceratops head that I picked up a few years back for cheap at a flea market. I thought this was the perfect project to use it for.

Looks like I did my job then. Thanks!

Glad you had a change of heart and that you like the outcome. Thanks.

Thanks. I'd be lying if I said I did that on purpose...

Thanks! The best part is that they're no more intrusive than Soundwave's wheels. Maybe even a bit less, actually...

Thank you very much. I have trouble seeing Soundwave now too.

    Thanks!

Thank you for the paint tips. Funny thing, I did do several thin coats, drybrushing(or something close to it) is the only way I try to paint. I think the problem was that when I put the coat of future floor polish on to seal it, it smeared/wore some of the paint. Most notably the red on the chest and sword.

Thanks again guy, I appreciate it.

Glad you like it. Ever since I was a kid, I've always been partial to Triceratopses? Triceratopsi? whatever.

Cool! It's not too difficult. I didn't really plan ahead, just came up with stuff as I went along. If you need to know any specifics, send me a pm.

    Thank you!

As Ramrider pointed out, I've previously stated I have no plans to make any more customs for awhile. Rethinking it over, I may be able to bring a "quiet" dremel tool back with me to college. It wouldn't neccessarily be in this style, but I do have ideas for a roughly voyager class Sludge. Additionally, I just purchased a figure that will make the perfect base for a Classics Omega Supreme the likes of which Radicons has never seen...

Again, thank you guys for all the kind words. If you're interested in making this figure a part of your collection, it's up on ebay.
