I like this idea alot! But also put in holes so that you can mount the smokestack guns on it in bot mode "similar to what you can do with the toys default canopy"
I felt the same way after seeing the TFCon exclusive. He still needed more. Plus since they had C-114 on the stickers on him (the Japanese boxed version of Fort Max) I had to make one of the swords for him or both of them. Thanks - I never really liked the original barrels either. I was just happy I was able to figure out how to mount new ones. =) Sorry about that. I had a glitch in getting all that stuff ready. You can search for "Assailment" for Onslaught and "Stronghold" or "TFCon" for Stronghold. I should hopefully have the links up at some point. All the Stronghold and Assailment items are available as individual items (cannon pairs, gun or swords) and as upgrade kits. That's an interesting option too. I'll have to look into that as well.
Wheeljack - Toy & Cartoon style weapons The toy version still needs some work but the cartoon version is pretty much done.
I ordered a bunch of your Classics Autobot cars weapons and they are great. I'll get those Wheeljack launchers for sure when they become available. How about making side rear view mirrors for Sidestreaker and Smokestreak? I'm thinking they can be based off of the ones from Jazz or Tracks with an angled panel to glue to the front corners of the side windows. The older cars don't really look right next to the newer ones which have the mirrors.
the wheeljack stuff is awesome but i have one suggetion since you can design them where they are a little further away from the head like more towards his shoulder as opposed to on his cheek. but thats just me, these are marvelous designs though super kudo's to you
It's probably not shown too well in the pictures that I took but both designs are pretty much flush against his outer shoulders. I've done one redesign on the "toy" version to trim it down a tad (they are front heavy which dont help with a 3mm clip system) I agree that shrinking them down maybe 10-15% so they don't seem so HUGE and in Wheeljack's face would look better.
I've bought the rifle for the Classics Nissan trio ( 1 for each ) and painted them with some Tamiya chrome silver and they look excellent. I'm also tempted by the clip weapons and the gun barrels as my Universe Hardhead could do with some better looking ones. Keep up the great work!
i thought your scaling was fine to be honest, i just thought the design might benefit from the clip's being offsett a little so the weapons were scooted over. and another thing, thanks for taking it as a helpful critique, i know how sometimes that kinda of statement isnt taken as intended and turns into a negative. which is not how I ment it at all.
Glad you like them! If you dont mind can you take a pix and post it in my Radicon feedback thread? I'd like to see how they look. I should hopefully have some more clip style weapons out in the near future. I totally forgot about Hardhead's needing new barrels too! My list of things to work on is getting longer and longer. =)
heh No worries on the critiques. It makes the process easier when knowing what people like. I think the issue with just scooting the clip over is the 3mm bar isn't that wide so if I keep the scale I think it'll still look the same (close to the cheeks) as opposed to shrinking it down a tad and creating some more breathing room for WJ noggin. I'll have to play around with the scale to see what looks best.
Sure, I'll have a bit of spare time over the weekend so I'll do it then. The clip weapons have been my favorite gimmick on the official lines since I got back into Transformers and the only drawback is having to buy extras of toys I didn't need extras of to get certain ones....at UK prices it's not very cost effective so the option of just buying clip weapons via Shapeways is awesome!
When the WJ weapons (both versions) will be avaiable, I will buy them along with Stronghold's cannons for sure!!! VERY VERY AWESOME!!!!!!! Good job!!
thanks for putting the feedback up. The pix looks great! That's the aim. Still got some more work to do. I need to take a few more pictures of some WIP and some other stuff coming down the line. It does look a tad wimpy doesnt it? I did make an update, it's v2 with a thicker stem. thanks! My updated prototypes should be arriving soon so we'll see how it looks.
