    * Updated 04/10/11; new pics in post 45. *

    OP : To coincide with the premier of the new Transformers Prime cartoon, which combines Michael Bay's designs with Derrick J. Wyatt's 'Animated' aesthetic, a fine group of upstanding Sector 70 citizens have banded together for a good cause to bring you 'Transformers: Baynimated'.

    My contribution to the project is Baynimated Blackout. He is a combination of Animated Blackout, TFTM Blackout, Animated Lugnut, Animated Ultra Magnus, and TFTM Legends-class Scorponok.

    He's still a work in progress, but I thought I'd share my work thus far and get some feedback. The biggest change I wanted to make was to give Blackout some MUCH need /height/. He suffers from a severe case of Lugnut Syndrome. I spliced in Lugnut's upper legs and Ultra Magnus' chest in order to elongate the figure some. There have been some other modifications, but none as important, I think.

    Soon, the collective works will be auctioned off together and the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

    Let me know what you think.

    That's the idea. :D

    You're such a klepto! But thanks. :p

    Thanks, bud. Your Baynimated Jolt is my-tee fine, too, you know. :)

    Well hopefully /Blackout/ is what I make of it, LOL. You know, when you get into 'the ZONE', and you just start grabbing random bits and pieces out of your parts bin for no particular reason and things start happening. :)

    It's very challenging working with aesthetics that you don't really care for, but you want to make the thing to the best of your ability because it's for a good cause. That's a great motivator.

    Are you doing an Animated Blackout, or are you referencing the gigantic movie-verse one you posted awhile ago (which was unbelievable, by the way :)  )?

    The torso elongation modifications are coming along well. I finally figured out a way to pull it off which is much less intrusive than I had originally planned. As a result, I'm thinking of adding in a bit more length through the means of a telescoping segment that pulls out from beneath the 'cockpit' section of the figure. Doing so is probably going to force me to lengthen the arms, though. They are just a hair shy of proper proportions as it stands now.

    I'm probably just going to stick with TFA Blackout's head. If anything, I'll just add articulation to it, since the stock figure's head doesn't move at all.
