Finally! It's time to bring a little closure to old prune face here. I'd been working on her on and off for nearly a year and I'd best finish her before moving onto anything else.

    [IMG][IMG]
This is more a labour of love than anything, cuz I really love the rendition of the character in the series. The main objective of this custom is to tweak as much as possible the stock TFA Starscream mold to be as feminine as possible without a complete overhaul, with the consideration of creating a sweet ass alt-mode and show accuracy.

    Mods done:
    - Resculpted head
    - Added wrist joints
    - Sharpened claws
    - Scratch built null rays
    - Biceps are modified to sit closer to torso
    - Resculpted crotch
    - Covered all the holes on her back
    - Quasi-realistic paintjob with weathering and decals

When working on a fav character, I'm more nitpicky about quality. I still think I could do some patching up on her, but I decided I've enough and I want to move on. There are still a few rub spots (more a fault of the mold than anything), and I was considering redoing her head bigger for a more anime-like appearance, like how TFA Arcee is. The proportions of the null rays are slightly off too.

But what the heck, I think she's great as she is right now.

"So which part of me did you come from?"

    "WHAAAM!"

    "Bitch."

What do you guys think? Hope you like it.

Looks pretty good. Someone did this a while back and was able to slim down the mold somehow and make her look more feminine. Nice job over all. The paint looks very clean.

I remember that. They replaced the biceps with slimmer ones. It really made a huge difference.

It makes me think it's animatedo Slipstream, just the shinyness of the paint.
    Great custom though

Wow, love what you did with the paint! Has to be my favorite part of this custom, really love how it looks good while still managing to look like it belongs. Very impressive mods as well, really does wonders for it, though replacing the upper arms with something slimmer would perhaps make it look even better.

Nice work! I hope mine comes out that well!

Have you thought about mass producing those null-rays for sale? I know I'd buy a couple of them!

Great work. I love slipstream, I hope they someday make a figure out of her even if it's a Botcon exclusive...which we know they won't allow as of the 2007 Botcon seeker incident.

    Glad you guys like it!

Do you mean the one by Crazen? Yeah I did slim the biceps down somewhat, as far as I dare go while still incorporating the screw holes and cannon mounts. I could have scratch built that like how I guess Crazen did, but I wanted to use as much of the original figure as possible.

I'd just try to picture Slipstream as a tall, lanky babe who plays basketball. She is decepticon sized, after all. :)

Thanks guys for your critique, it's appreciated.

    You want the hi-res? :)

I had a lull period on this project, until I too saw the japanese intro to TFA. That really inspired me to continue. You can't imagine how long she's been sitting untouched on the desk...

@meisterworks Are you going to create a wip thread? I'm curious to see your rendition!

Glad you like the face sculpt! That was like my 3rd version before I was satisfied.

    Well appreciated, guys.

Thank goodness I managed to find that shade of metallic blue-green. I was at a loss cuz I can't find a suitable bright teal colour. Once I spied that bottle I immediately thought, "Takara TFA!". I'm really glad it came out the way it did, all silvery and such.

That coming from you bro, is awesome. ;)

I can't wait to see what you come up with! I have no plans yet in mass production of the null-rays, but I can give you my "ingredient list" for you to scratch build yourself...

Great job on Scylla, by the way.

No I don't think so, but a few extra baby seekers will be helpful for my hobby. Why did you ask?

What do you mean the 2007 seeker incident? You mean how popular characters being released as exclusives? Well if every figure comes out as every fan wanted and widely available, Radicons will have nothing left to do. I suppose there's a high chance there'll be a figure someday, since many characters from TFA like Bulkhead and Lockdown have become staples in the storylines. WFC Slipstream is one example. But rest assured, there'll be no official animated Slipstreams coming out.
