Alright, early last month I was messing around with some of my figures, and got an idea of which I made a quick digibash: The idea would not love my mind though, and a little over three weeks ago I finally gathered my courage and my tools to start hacking away at Primus. Progress had it's ups and downs, and I didn't want to show this off before I had something substantial to show, but with it being nearly ready for painting, I figured that the time was now. So here he is, my attempt at creating a figure of WFC Omega Supreme, and as you can see he's quite a bit different from my initial digibash: He stands at about 15 inches tall, not counting the wings (though I haven't given him exact measurements yet), and he's pretty damn articulated. The legs are a bit limited though, since they has a lot of weight to carry, but the hips carry most of the weight. At first I had a completely different system using Primus' upper legs, but that did not at all work, it barely was enough to support the weight, so I had to replace them with the current hips. I tried to give him waist articulation as well, but that's something I had to give up for weight reasons as well. Mind you, the waist does turn, but it's by a negligible amount, and not something I'm fond of doing (may find a different solution for that if I get an idea). I'm trying to keep him as close to the game as I can, and that includes gimmicks, of course! -Opening chest plate to reveal his link to the Core of Cybertron -Swiveling guns on the sides of his torso -Backpack can open up to reveal missile launchers -Claws are fully articulated and have various configurations, while the wrist is articulated as well -Cannon on his left arm can rotate and open up He does transform, but I still have to finish the front end, but that should be done tomorrow. I am wondering if I should just forget about the altmode though; it looks doofy with the legs attached and while I could just make them removable, I'm not really sure if I want to make him too much of a partsformer. I'm also not sure if I even have something that could serve as the attachment port that would be able to support it's weight. For now, here's the (in my opinion at least) crappy altmode: What else I'm going to do with it; mostly some minor additions. I'm probably going to pop off the discs on the sides of the legs since he didn't have those in the game (d'oh!), find some guns to add on the wings, maybe change the feet a little...Probably cover up the front of the lower legs as well, give him that nice bulky look. Finally I'll try and get rid of the little imperfections and then it's time to apply the basecoat and start painting! Some more pics, including one of the earlier WIP stages. Gives a good look at the old hip system. Oh, and sadly, no pics with him versus WFC Megatron. Don't have that one yet.
Looking great! Pretty complex and looks like a heck of a lot of hard work already. I can't wait to see how it comes out.
woah... that omega for ya! i love it! only thing i dont really like is his claw hands, they seem to thin. but other than that, u did a fanFUCKtastic job!
Yeah, I wish I had something bigger to use for the claws, but Dreadwing's and Overcast's legs were all I had available to me. At least they're still decently sized, and their detailing fits in perfectly. Much better then using random Bionicle parts like I was originally going to.
Wwow.....you just threw something out here that needs to be seen...This is looking fantastic dude.....
Seriously, can I has??????? I'll be your friend! This kicks so much ass I'm speechless. Very inspirational.
I'm digging some of the upper body parts, but not the legs. not the legs at all. kinda remind me of chicken legs.
This is looking very nice. I think what I like the the most about it is the stance. The wide hips and position of the legs make it perfect.
Thanks, man. Very glad you like it, your heavy bashes are still some of my favorite works that I've seen on here. Damn, dude! At least give me a chance to paint him! Thanks for the kind words, though. Especially coming from you, love your stuff. Thanks, but I don't know if this is better then Wave1's Trypticon. I love how dead on accurate he managed to get it, something my Omega doesn't entirely succeed at sadly. Yeah, I know that they're a bit stumpy and short, but I'm trying to keep it as close to the game as I can, and he was rather stumpy in there as well. He can straighten out his legs though, but then they look a bit...Off. I could bulk them up, but I rather like the stumpy look as well; gives him a bit of that titanic feel. As for the chicken leg look, I can see where you're coming from with that. If bulking up the front of the legs doesn't work, I'll try and see if I can reverse them and add new feet. That could work, but I'm not sure if it would look right. Thanks man!
Dude, you don't need to be apologetic about the legs. Its looks good F_R may have different opinions on the legs there, but so long as you are satisfied with it, that is all that matters. I for one dig the whole thing and the leg does not detract the look at all.
Dude, if I give you my credit card and pin number would you send me that when it is finished? I must have it in my collection. Joking aside, I think it looks spot on. The articulated claws are amazing. This is the best Omega Supreme ever. Come on Hasbro, this is what people want. You should get together with Wave1, I would love to see your Omega Supreme next to his Trypticon.
Wahh..sweet!!! I just checked the concept art of the WFC character..pretty close taking into account it's made from custom parts. Can't wait to see this painted!
Insane man, this is what I'm talkin about right here. I've been wanting to make OS since I got that game, but never considered anything like this. Hell yeah!
That is awesome this forum could use more omega supreme and big figures of the likes Great job look forward to seeing it completed
