There simply isn't enough transformers that turn into trains. Especially steam trains. So here is my attempt: Boiler. I couldn't decide whether to put this under Heavy/Scratch or Minor/Repaint, but seeing as it looks nothing like where it started... Boiler started life as an Energon Snow Cat with parts from a toy train added. I actually did this about a year ago, but I thought i would share it in hopes of inspiring others to make more trainformers. Back then i wasn't even about to attempt head sculpts, so i may update this if i can manage to find/make a more suitable head. The last pic is of Boiler and some of the Wreckers, including two that i haven't quite finished yet...
yeah since posting this it's actually really starting to bug me. Stay tuned for the update with a new head.
i like the look of boiler, looks clunky, but in a good way That impactor looks sweeeet! more pics of your wreckers please!
Thanks! search back through a couple of pages in the radicons forums. impactor, ironfist and pyro are there, with more to come.
About 18 trainformers + their recolors isn't enough?? lol Looks good but I gotta say the head.................
there's not that many steam trains, I count 2 official and one unofficial. It looks good, makes me contemplate my universe Snowcat's future. (won't happen though, who would Demolisher hang out with.) there need to be more steam loco transformers. It's a struggle to find bodies that could be adapted properly though. (that said I've just got the notion for using a RID Wedge to make a British style tank engine, not seen any uk locos and that's a shame. that's a project for me at least ) I don't mind the head, the way it's painted means you need a second look to see that it's really Steamcat
Interesting design! However, I just can't help but to imagine this guy running around trying to be stealthy, meanwhile sounding like someone is slamming around a bunch of aluminum garbage cans. ^_^
I kinda like the head that is used. Its kinda like new school and old school team up. Thats what I think. Great job by the way.
