Here's the beginning of my first custom... Galvatron. I always loved this character, but hated the treatment he got in the classics line. So.. I decided to make my own. So far, I used G1 Galvatron and Energon Megatron. Most of the body is Energon Megatron. I sculpted a new crown on Megatron's head (Still working on it). I then cut the body in half (kinda difficult), but the reason I did that was to help with the transformation. I'm then using G1 Galvatron's waist (lot of work there too), which will hopefully allow the figures waist to turn. Currently, I'm trying to figure out if I'm going use the arms or find new ones, because I want to attach the tank tracks from G1 Galvatron onto the arms (like the original galvatron). You can see in one of the pictures what I have planned. I also plan on adding many parts from G1 Galvatron. I haven't started thinking about the cannon as of yet, however, I might use a pen case (any suggestions would be helpful). Still a lot of work to do.

 

i like where its going so far! adding G1 parts seems to work well by the looks of it!

 

interesting idea. I'm gathering that you are using the leader class toy judging by how large the G1 figure is.

Actually I used the voyager size Energon Megatron. I the leader class was too big.

 

This is a very interesting approach with this one  

 

Yea its a little big with the side flaps, but it's actually the same size as the original hips on the voyager megatron.
