    Now on eBay. Ends 1/29/12.

    Made a severed Megatron head.

Love it... so glad you made a thread for this guy. The side angle really helps me visualize how he would look with the treads hinged back, though I'm a bit intimidated by how much cutting is required for the turret.

Love his extra chunky forehead armour as well. Looks cool :)

As a side note, with only a little bit of modding, you can replace Megs' existing arms with the arms from Universe Dropshot (CD Scattershot). This gives him a proper "swivel-arm battle-grip"... a piece of articulation that too many TF's lack. Of course, you do lose Megs' sweet shiv by doing this... it's a sacrifice of sorts. :)

I totally agree (and that's some good advice on the arms). I really love the way the hinges make this robot mode look. The head work is especially nice, too. :thumb

I really like this and you've done what I have pondered over for the past year, the "hinge in the tracks to flip them back" method. I have been thinking this mold would make the perfect Universe Galvatron tank. The leg articultion mod really improves this mold. The 1st and 3rd pics really have the galvatron look, but with a realworld twist, rather than G1 space cannon. Might have to try this with my Armada Galvatron. Wonder what this would look like with TidalWave attached.

I already clipped off his "shiv", so no worries there. I was wondering what to do about his gimp arm, but I've spent a lot on this guy already and Scattorshot and all of his repaints aren't exactly cheap. I had to bargain for a Jetfire with no arms for less than $15. But yeah, his no articulation in the bicep kind of sucks. Yeah, you have to demolish the turret, but that's because it's randomly asymmetrical in the first place. I'm totally in love with the walking tank. Regular tanks just seem boring now.

You know... Scattorshot's tank treads would be perfect for that Overlord custom I'm doing since they fold in half...

Those hinges really do make the robot mode look so much cooler. Nice going!

Ah. Yeah, it can be annoying when your spare parts aren't readily available. :(

Universe Dropshot (Scattershot repaint) was on clearance at Walmart for quite a while around here, so I stocked up on them. You can still find them occasionally in the Junkion Exchange forum here for a decent price.

He's a great spare-parts bot! He's got good legs with a rotating hip joint, his arms are pretty good for other Voyager+sized bashes, he has those folding treads, his array of weapons is extremely handy, and he has that weird rotating turret joint in his torso that has some interesting applications.

I'll also mention in passing that if you wanted a nice G1-style chunk of chest armour for Megatron here, one of the folding hatches on Dropshot's missile racks is exactly the right size and shape... ;)

Bingo! I'm using them to build a half-track TF, but that's an awesome idea for Overlord! :D

Hey. I need some clamps that will make the walking tank look a little more crab-like. I've been looking at all kinds of toys but can't find anything close to what I want. I want something that is a wedge shape and preferably has serrated teeth. I'm going to browse clothespins and maybe hardware at this point. Please point me toward SPECIFIC things I can buy. "It looks like that thing in Aliens" does not help. AT ALL.

Did you mean V-wing? You're on the right page, but it's too flat. It could work with modding, though. I found out there's such thing as plastic pliers; I think I need to buy a couple.

Updated pictures. He now has 2 chainsaw knives (energy swords are for fembots, everybody knows Megatron prefers the homo-erotic feel of steel on steel), treads all over the place, gun grips for leg armor, chest armor, filled out some places on the torso with apoxie, and a fairly complete fusion cannon (hidden inside gun barrel). His transformation is one step easier now. I forgot to take pictures of the chainsaws stored in his shoulder treads and on either side of the cannon in tank mode.

Needs new shoulder pads, insignia on chest, maybe a couple skirts to fill out his waist, magnets to attach his fusion cannon to his arm, and a couple sheaths on the turret for his knives.

Loving some of the stuff you've done! Interesting changes made to the treads... you've stripped him down to his essentials, and in doing so, solved the ol' "gun-vs-tank" debate. He's just a big gun. On treads. :)

Added a picture with his arm cannon, it's the core of the turret. Also his chainsaws are in his shoulder treads.
