Well I was messing around with Ironhide one day and mis-transform him. the results were a way better legs and even made him a little bit taller too. So far I just added a ball joint for his head. I don't know if I should repaint him to Ironhide or maybe a diaclone?

 

I really hate this mold, but love your mistransformation!

 

yeah,use the diaclone colors,if you do,may i suggest adding some modifications for the head?

although the neck looks a bit long, maybe you could use a shorter ball joint shaft...still pretty cool though.

 

Yea me too. This is how mine sits on my shelf. Except with the legs facing the intended direction.

I say regular Ironhide. He deserves his proper place in a classics/universe collection sporting his more famous colours.  

 

I agree. I think you're on to something cool there, though.

As for the transformation, I'm pretty happy with how Hasbro has it, with the bumper>chestplate mechanism.

I dunno, the elongated torso looks REALLY bad, especially in comparison to the rest of the mass on the toy. His torso to waist is even longer than Voyager Prime's in the same picture, and that really long neck huts it too. I'm sure you can do something to shorten the neck, but there's nothing that can possibly make the extended crotch+bumperwaist configuration look good. You only have so much to work with here, the figure is a terrible mess by default.
