This is the second one I have done, this one I did up to sell on ebay to help pay some bills. It is a ko nemesis prime painted up with tamiya acrylics and sealed up with future floor wax dulled down. I figured a ko will do just fine for those who are going to display it instead of play with it. It does transform, but I am not going to do it more than what I did for the pics. Tell me what you guys think. Honest opinions please, don't hold back
Blue behind the windshield?! but how!??? It's a tiny bit brighter than I would like, but other than that, it's clean, it's smooth, it's gorgeous!
The only thing I don't like are the Autobot emblems on it. Other than that, it's great. Are you planning on buying a KO Commander trailer to repaint and go along with? Even if you just plan on selling it on Ebay, I think it'd drive up some interest to have a complete "Classics" Diaclone Powered Convoy.
lol took it apart! It actually isn't as bright as it looks, just my crappy picture taking abilities. I am looking into getting an armor kit to paint up as well. Thanks for the advice!
Did I just hear the sound of a shotgun being cocked and held at the ready for some poor soul at next year's botcon? I think I did! Looks good bro. I hope all is well. Call me if you need to man.
whats the quality of that KO convoy? it looks cool but you might scare off some potential bidders unless the quality A+. Also, if your going to sell it, hurry up. I'm not 100% but the rumor is, KO Henkei Black Convoy is coming out in 2 weeks and this Prime is next.
Nice clean paint job. I'd get more colour accurate pics when you sell though (not photoshop'd). The mould looks like a good one too, great work!
Armor sets don't work with the KOs, the shoulders are too thin and everything else is too thick. And unless you did a lot of work on the joints it's alt-mode will never hold together. Finally, despite most of the plastic being okay for a knock off, I wouldn't trust much of anything that's connected with pins. Otherwise, I don't see any problems with it. Bravo.
it isn't bad quality, just not up to par with an official release of course. I will have to hurry up! you are right on the armor sets not fitting properly in the shoulders and the waist plate, I have ko's in my armor sets so I can have the official figures displayed along with them. The plastic can be brittle if the screws are put back in way too tight. The joints that had some rubbing and connected with pins, I shaved down to avoid them cracking and breaking. I will make sure that it is known before anyone bids on it that they are bidding on a ko. It is meant for displaying and not meant to be played with. he can be posed in almost any way you want him to be posed. thanks for the feedback everyone, keep it coming!
You know, I almost couldn't tell that this was a KO until i read ur text. I think that it should sell decently with clearer pics?
I wish I had a better camera to take nice pics. Hopefully soon. I am getting ready to list it on ebay. wish me luck!
One clear way to tell it's a KO, irregardless of mods to make the figure look alot more solid is the head. The brow is too big, the faceplate is smooth, and the eyes are low and deep set. Believe me, I have 3 of them and I hate each one.
Hehe. Good luck! I think it has a bit of the cell shading trait in it. Must be ur colour choices. Nice one.
I was buried under commissions for a bit, had to since I was unemployed from march until this monday. Now I can cut back and do all of the projects I've really been wanting to get to, but havent had time.
Glad to hear you are working again in this economy. There are guys I work with that bitch all day that their job sucks, at least they are working. Any pics of these commissions?
