Yep! I'll open the new piece for ordering once I've made sure it works well.

    :D

Actually, the next thing I had in mind was the Superion Maximus mold, in particular fixing the floppy, hollow chest. It's just a thought at this point, I don't know if it's feasible.

This looks very cool. Tagging the thread so I can keep up with the progress of the revision piece. I've got, oh, about 5 or so of this mold that would need these. :D

    Quick update:

I got a few samples in, made with different materials for comparison's sake. The white detail is much cleaner than the other three, and painted, would probably look the best. The aluminide is a tiny bit rougher than the strong and flexible plastics.

As for the new model, the slot for the weapon and the spoiler clips are slightly too large, like, 0.25mm. I'm going to correct the model and re-upload it. I'm not anticipating any more problems, so I'll open it up for purchasing.

Left to right: white flexible and strong, aluminide, white detail, black flexible and strong.

One last photo for this thread, showing the spine piece and sides of the chest painted glossy black.

I really like how you extended that bumper detail. You've done a great job on this :)

Gotta say, this actually makes me want the Prowl figure. Whole reason I passed on it all along was the same dislike of hollow chests!

Oh man, you need a feedback thread for these babies. Mine arrived today and I slapped them on, I gotta tell you, WOW! Not only does it fill in well aesthetically, it fits in incredibly snugly and adds a good weight to the Prowl mold which allows a few more dynamic poses.

    Thanks dude!

Process - I just stumbled upon this when I clicked a few of the links in your sig, and I just placed an order for the Superion piece and the Prowl piece. I had no idea such things existed! These look awesome. Can't wait to get them!

I ordered two different Superion pieces so I can test and see which I prefer.

Talk about stepping up to fill a need! Good work, man! :)

I like the idea and offer congratulation on thinking of it.

If I could make a small suggestion - I think slightly designing it so it can securely attach to the spoiler in vehicle mode is a great idea and I'd also say that it would be great if there was a 3mm clip bar on each side and also if possible a 2 or 3 5mm post holes.

I've always found storing the guns on this toy's mold almost impossible as it just falls out so a secure powerpack addition that offers a different spot to mount the rifle would be good.

I don't know if the materials are strong enough to allow for 3mm clip points though - perhaps the ones that have no gap behind and don't fully rotate like some have would work ?

I was also thinking of Cliffjumpers huge cannon he used on the 80's cartoon and wondering if it might be feasible to mold the part in 3 pieces and have it reform into a hand held rocket cannon for the robot mode to hold then store as a the piece currently does. perhaps additional parts can store in the hollow legs too ?

Or there could even be tiny parts that plug into the square holes on the back of the arms.

Perhaps as tiny guns or blades.

The idea is a great one though even as is.

I do actually offer a version of this piece that can be mounted on the spoiler. It's fairly simple, as the demands of this piece to fit the back of the Prowl mold dominate what I can actually do with it.

I have been meaning to do some tests with the 3mm clip system, but I've yet to acquire any figures that have it.

I don't think I'll be doing any more add-ons for Prowl, but have I've been thinking about standalone weapons for other figures. I like your idea of a transforming Cliffjumper bazooka, I think I'll put that next on my list!
