It took a long time to figure out these two Bashes. This is the one time I'm thankful for the Movie chicken legs. Movie Dropkick provided the perfect legs for Sky lynx's "bird" legs (and gives him rear landing gear). The "bird" mode has a lot of great features from this mold. The wings can be placed in multiple positions including folded alongside. They are not the same because they are now triple changers. Both having an Alt mode, an animal mode and a robot mode. Another reason they are not the same as G1 is because they DO NOT physically connect together to form the Bird/Lynx mode. They are only sitting, one, on top of the other. Thus they are two separate figures and cannot both have the name Sky Lynx. I look at them as two transformer that like to work together and the other Autobots "nicknamed" them Sky Lynx, since they are always together (I've also played with the idea that they are a couple? The Bird would probably be the "Male" with all that ego. The Female, always nearby, taking care of everything but letting the male take the credit). All electronics have been removed, from both figures. The shuttle began as an Astrotrain bash but then TFCC came out with that recolor. Overload was just an attempt to give the vehicle a windshield (to go with the side window details) and different wheels/treads instead of the minicon driver/head. Before adding the Lynx head I had the minicon stored in the chest, all the time. The Bird tail folds up inside the gun. The Bird legs are attached to the back of the Robot hands. They can be used as weapons/knives when in combat. I used Gold foil but it doesn't come out very smooth, but it is shinier than gold paint. I wanted to match the gold chest piece on the Lynx. (I also didn't cut the rear ankle pin, yet. Oops). If you want to see more angles, let me know. I hope you enjoy it. |

I considered trying to get a decent Skylynx out of that Armada Jetfire mold, but abandoned it in favour of working with Cybertron Jetfire. I think you just showed me that I made a bad choice... that looks FANTASTIC. zmog image size: 500px x 275px, 18.78kb... always has been "Why is bad taste ubiquitous?" - Erik Spiekermann |
