Heya team, I'm looking to bash/repaint a Rhinox figure for my collection, and I tossed this Digi together to kind of get some perspective. I'm looking for some opinions on what you all think, or if you guys have any ideas for something that would make a nicely proportioned Rhinox... Thanks! **UPDATE** This is kind of where I am with this guy... Still got a lot of work to do, but I think the Hulk figure really works for this guy...

Yup, I thought about that, and actually I think the dozer version might bring a little more to the bash...especially with that big grill on the chest...however, the thing I was most displeased with on the dozer was the total lack of hands. I mean, there are fists there, but they are simply molded chunks of plastic, and the tank versions hands are massive and articulated... I was very excited about the dozer version until I looked closer at the hands and the arms. No elbow articulation on dozer either.
Very clever mold use, maybe a slight remodel of the face, and you'll be golden Like maybe raising the chin guard/strap up just a tad. that way, he wont have such young looking face.
I don't own the dozer Hulk so I'll have to ask: is there any way that you could kitbash in other hands while maintaining the transformation? Since while I like the idea of using a Hulk toy for Rhinox since he's also a big bruiser type character, a tank doesn't make a lot of sense for a Maximal scientist.
The Hot Shot head looks off, but the rest of it looks great. Just change the head and you'll be golden in my opinion. It could be a partial homage to the fact Rhinox's spark was used for the Vehicon Tankor, who obviously turned into a tank.
I think you should do this , then just make a head, This body looks much better for him. Also with the articulated hands you could make him hold some cool Cybertronian fake science do dads, I know he had big guns, but it would be neat to see his pre beast wars self with normal science equipment. Since I doubt he had much need for them when they were on peaceful Maximal Cybertron or floating around in the Axalon doing science.
Very cool idea at least. Robot mode fits him nicely. I don't really like the bulldozer Hulk as much as the tank one. I do think a treaded vehicle suits Rhinox but not necessarily a tank. Maybe you could rework the turret somehow.
If you had a Rhinox head to use, that might look a little better. I really like this idea of usiing the Hulk mold for this one. I can't wait to see the real thing.
This actually works really well. I started it over a year ago but lost my recipe for the brown color I used so I never finished it up. The original hulk head that comes with it is made of hard rubber, you can carve it down into a nice rhinox easily. I would post a link to my wip but I can't seem to find it in the radicons section anymore. I attached a pic of mine so you can see how easy the head is to carve, good luck with this 1!
Don't forget about when Megs turned Rinox into a Pred and Rhinox became VERY ruthless...also brainwashing to an extent, but it was a nice glimpse into Rhinox's dark side... So many great ideas here...I think the consensus is that we are good to go as long as I do something about the head...I really like the idea of just using Hulk's head and carving it down, but I suck ass at sculpting...luckily I already bashed Hulk into Megatron, so I have an extra Hulk head sitting around here somewhere I can practice on. You guys rock! Thanks for all the input!
I've thought the Hulk tank would make a great mech mode for Rhinox since I got him. All it really needs are some gold highlights and a new head.
wow that looks great! just the head in a bit small. if there was a bigger head you could use then mod that would be perfect!
