I was looking over my Autobots, and got to thinking, these guys are a tad under-armed, so I went to the bits'n'pieces box and started work...

Here Bumblebee shows off his new blaster, a simple conversion of an existing Toy Biz gun.

Sunstreaker and his sawn-off shotgun, made from another Toy Biz gun.

Sideswipes missile launcher was made from the big stupid gun that came with the Hypervelocity Iron Man armour.

    Hound's ready for a bit of sniper-action witch a converted knock-off 1/6 scale gun

Springer looks oddly smug with his machinegun/rocket laucher combo which is another 1/6 scale gun.

Arcee's machine pistols were made from the lower legs of Hypervelocity Iron Man and plastic bits.

PWhen you've got the guns it's as simple as replacing the handles, only problem is you stary to look at EVERYTHING for it's conversion potential.

Oh cool thanks! He was the only Classic I had for YEARS and one day his shiney yellowness annoyed me so I decided to dirty him up.

He's Wrecker Bumblebee :rock  although technically at this point all my modern Transformers are Wreckers/Mayhems... or in the pile for converting.

They should fear that conversion pile, I'm working on Topspin and Twintwist and they take a lot more parts than I thought!

Another series of toys that's good for guns that are just about perfect in scale for the deluxe class is 'True Heroes' a set of 4 inch tall toys (also good for joints and faces) you can also get 'odd' items like shovels and pick-axes. They also tend to be inexpensive, 5 figures with assorted weapons for about 8-10 dollars

It's funny that you mention that the Classics toys are under-armed (I think so too!) Why put a hole in a TF's arm if you're not gonna include a few weapons for it to hold?? Baffles me!! I've been experimenting with a few G1 weapons that in my opinion are "cheap" to buy and make a huge difference when displaying figures. Some of my go-to weapons that require NO modifications are:

    1) Devastator gun - Works with all Classics hands. Not only does it look cool but is also easily customized. Currently Bumblebee, Sunstreaker and Armada Nemesis Prime have those.

    2) Perceptor gun - Again looks awesome with Classics figures. For Sidswipe and Cliffjumper.

    3) Wreck-Gar gun - For Inferno and Nemesis Prime

    4) Enegon Starscream sword - For Megatron, Nemesis Prime and as a second sword for Scourge.

I have a few more combinations, and I hope these help out other people trying to accessorize their TFs. I'll post some images later (just to show off =) )

I don't have easy access to G1... or any of the usual types of guns, I'm really enjoying converting stuff... it's a disease!
