Wow, never thought I'd ever have something big enough for a WIP.... But I do, and it's Classics Metroplex! Inspired by thyvipera and deliciouspeter, this is my biggest project yet. (Out of what, two or three unfinished? ) Update 5/23/10 Slammer and Scamper are almost finished. Late Update 5/30/10 Arms painted, chest painted, getting closer to being finished! (sort of...) Anyway, that's my WIP. Comments, criticism, advice, and ideas are all welcome. --Shadowbreaker
Looks good so far! I've been trying to think of something to do with my Metroplex as well. He's such a great figure...very solid, and he looks so imposing standing with the rest of my collection...I'm just not in love with the color scheme Hasbro went with. I'm looking foward to seeing what you do next with him.
hey, you know me, i love big figures, lol!! so will be watching this, good work so far!! all the best colin
Thank you all for the nice comments! Original post updated. Also, I have been having problems with Six-Gun, so that will take longer to finish.
Late Update. I've meant to post it a while ago, but I had to find the time.... then I forgot. Hehe...
(Sorry for the late reply) Thanks everyone! I'm gonna need more paint to finish this (mostly black), but apparently a boy scout group is buying all the paint.... They didn't even have flat black last time I was there..... luckily aircraft interior black is close. I'll see when I go there tomorrow. Wish me luck!
This is looking really cool so far! I really enjoy your addition of the Minicons to him. I'm anxious to see what you do for Sixgun as well. I'd really like to see you make a base mode out of this guy, too. I never cared for this guy's official alt mode as much as I would have enjoyed a battle base of some kind.
Sweet so far. Can't wait to see it done. This guy is a bear to paint, isn't he? I'm curious as to what paint you used on his antennae.
It is Testors Model Master Acryl Guards Red. It seems to stick fine for me. Also, haven't found the time to stop at the Hobby Store.... So I'm, just painting the gray for now. He's almost done! Just need some black paint.
