DAMN! The knew head looks MUCH better. Anything that makes it less Animated is a win.

You are correct sir. I only used the crest/eyes from animated blurr and would you believe a knockoff Superion head? Just the jaw part though.

 

I want to know how much it will be to commission you to paint one like that for me...

I uploaded some more pics of her to the first post. I reworked the head..gave her a super light pink face and the nose is smaller now.

 

I'm not down with all the hate for Animated... I think the original head fits the cartoony style. However, I think this body also works for a more "classics" style Arcee, and in that case, the modified head you made works really well. Kudos!  

Bearing in mind how hard this figure seems to be to repaint, I have to say it would be really nice if, down the road, Hasbro decides to re-release this mold in more "perfect" G1 colours like this, because it looks damn good on her!

And this coming from someone who never liked Arcee.  

On another note, where are the guns from?

The guns come from ROTF Brawn. Which makes me mad..because the guns are sweet and it MADE me buy an movie figure. Two of them!

Looks great man. Love those Brawn guns. Someone needs to repro them, because it seems those are everyone's go to guns for her now.  
I'm trying to figured out how to shorten the neck, but still make it extend for vehicle mode. Any tips?

 

I had this same thought before shortening her neck. I even went as far to almost buying a telescoping antenna (so i could extend it in vehicle mode)..but it turns out she transforms fine without it. I just cut the ball joint off, shaved down the neck and re-attached the ball joint where I saw fit. It works.

 

Sweet. I just found an extra Arcee and I was thinking about doing something similar. I thought the head might need to be replaced but it doesn't look too bad repainted.

 

Hmm, very cool. I figured with it being so tight a fit it may not. I'm gonna have to try that. Thanks!

How did you make the head for Arcee? I thought of using the Energon Arcee head, but it does't look quite right matched up to the rest of the body. I'm interested in making a head similar to the one you made.

 

I like the colors, but don't see the need for a face resculpt - if you're keeping all the other caricatured TFA body shapes.
