Galvatron Classics with G1 Color Scheme I took a Classics Hasbro Galvatron, took it COMPLETELY apart, presspins and all, prepped each individual part, painted each individual part, put it back together again, and then airbrushed a light coat of Tamiya clear all over each exposed piece. With all the TLC I put into this guy, believe me - it was a labor of love...
Galvy looks fantastic but this isn't Heavy Scratch it would still be considered Minor Repaint even though I know there was nothing minor about it. Now lets see some pics of his tank mode.
I am not nearly awesome enough to attempt this. But hey, that looks like a great repaint, the purple reminds me of the one I mixed for my Animated Galvatron. Good job!
I must say, nicely organized too! That orange cannon really sticks out. Looks really cool. Almost looks like a metallic orange of some sort?
Wow. The paint is flawless. It actually looks like the toy was molded in those colors. Excellent work, man!
Meant to catagorize this as "Minor/Repaint" - sorry for the confusion, guys. Thanks for the kudo's anyways...
Although it took patience, you did it right---the best paint in as many individual pieces as possible, from what i read. Looks fantastic.
You know that you've got him misassembled, right? You've got the legs on the wrong sides. He should be able to stand without his legs spread out, but the way you've got them, they crash into each other. You've also got one of his thighs inverted, but that's more a transformation issue than an assembly one. Very smooth paint job, though.
You're right! I fixed it, and will update this thread with new pix tomorrow. Thanks for pointing this out to me mx-01!
