I have to say this is about my 3rd or 4th time coming back to look at this one. I really think you hit the nail on the head with a lot of things on this piece. I do think the head has some minor issues, but mine are mostly with conveying that it's "HIGHBROW". I think much of that is a little bit more of "Rebirth" and other media besides the toy coming through, as it's obvious that you were going more for a toy-accuracy here. I would be curious to see how a visor would affect this one though. I do really like how you used the Animated Megs and pulled off the "Classics" type custom pretty well. I do agree with Wheel_Jack that there is still quite a bit of "Animated" shining through though. I say that also adding that I'm not really sure what to recommend to you to minimize this. I'm glad you went white, it helps take away from the fact this figure used to be Megatron. I like that the head's a BIT big, because the headmasters back in the day ALL had kinda big heads. A visor might have sold it a little more in the face, but if you had to make one from scratch, i was there, and i know what a pain in the butt that was. i love how you replaced Meg's big pushbutton symbol with something as equally touchable.
First off, THANK YOU EVERYONE! Second, I wold like to give him less animated thighs and hands. I think that will offset the rest of the animated feel to him.
Definitely replacing the hands would minimize the look. It's very curvy, which is why that Animated feel comes through. However, dude, you nailed that alt mode. My only wish is that the cockpit could open and Gort could ride inside. I really hope you win something in the contest.
Actually he does fit inside, but you have to put him on the shield that snaps under the cockpit. I had to shave quite a bit off to make him fit, but he does! and the contest ended, I scored about halfway with both of my entries :/
