I haven't picked up a brush in a few months, so I thought I would do something easy. I found this Burger King Kid's Meal Venom at my local Goodwill for about 25 cents a couple of months ago and decided that it could be a fun additon to my Venom collection at home! The only down side is that it needed some cleaning up. The original paint on the eyes and teeth was coming off and for some reason the toy was moled in purple plastic. I cleaned all off the old paint off and sprayed him in Krylon Fusion Flat Black. After he dried, I painted the eyes and spiders on the front and back with Testor's Silver Chrome enamel. I painted the gums with Testors Model Master Insignia Red acrylic. The teeth were first painted with Testors Model Masters Euro Gray acrylic and then heavily drybrushed with Testors Model Masters Flat White acrylic. I like how the gray at the base of the teeth gives them a bit of a rotten look. I think it suits the character well! This was certainly not an ambitious project, but I like the way he turned out and he looks very cool on my Venom shelf! Now that the "bug" has bitten me again, maybe I'll finish up some of those projects that I've had running around in my head for the last couple of months... As always, comments and critiques are welcome!
That's cool! I have the snapping Venom and a ton of the Star Wars ones! I love those Burger Kind Super Deform figures!
I've never seen this before. The similarities are definitely there! I honestly think Burger King gets the best kid's meal toys! Thanks for the comments, guys! Much appreciated!
