I think you should include something to easily snap on in place of his missing hand. Like how Jin Saotome always throws in some magnetic attachments (this build reminds me of his stuff). Another gun or two couldn't hurt. Ironhide wouldn't even worry about properly connecting it...he'd just grab a gun and jam it right into his wrist-socket.
Now that I think of it. Did you have any quality control issues with this Ironhide before you painted him?
No loose right shoulder or very hard to snap on waist into bot mode? I finally found another Recon Ironhide and it had the same issue as my first.
Weird. I know when I picked up leader Jetfire, he had some loose joints, but he's the only one I've had trouble with.
Your Ironhide makes me cry man... This is how he should've looked. Not crazy about battledamage, but it certainly doesn't detract from your amazing work. GJ!
