I did a G1 version of Beachcomber awhile back and wanted to do a G2 version. Primarily a paint job mixed with a new head sculpt.

I tried a new technique with him to give him a chrome look like the original figure had. I started with a base of black then topped it with Folk Arts metallic green. After I had a strong metallic green base I then coated everything with a top coat of clear green. The clear brightened the color and gave it a chrome sheen to boot some my experimenting was well worth it.

I was never a fan of the G2 designs/re-colors. It was just too...weird.

Regardless, this is the perfect mold for Beachcomber and that green you used is just downright beautiful.

    Great work!
