Instead of giving him feet, can you extend the top of the bottom legs, to give them more length? Personally I like the gorillia-ish look to him..... after all he is a "Brut"icus.

LOL, thanks buddy. I actually love how big vortex is. it isnt that odd, considering the upper arm is his narrow helicopter tail. I'll see about getting some new pics. in person, he's VERY big and bulky.

I'll look into it. Personally I think his legs look fine. I'm like you, I'm fond of Bruticus being more gorillia-ish and bulky as hell.

You've come a long way with your paint apps Thyvipera. I think this is some of your best paint work to date. I especially enjoy the slight details around Onslaught's wheels in the back shot.

Are those G1 Metroplex shins on his forearms?

I think it looks cool. The thing that is probably throwing people is what threw me off when I looked at my own Dev project: the hip kibble from Unicron. It makes the upper legs look stumpy when they're actually pretty close to the bots on the lower legs, optical illusion. On my next combiner I'm gonna try to use Primus's waist and upper legs and see if it looks any different. Great job!

 

Very nice, Daniel! This is your best one yet. Your paint apps are great here and the colors really pop. I think the only thing I'm not digging is the head. It looks good, but it's just a bit too large and bulky for this. Have you considered one of Ptitvite's casts? Or maybe a G1 Bruticus head? Keep up the great work, man.

 

I think it looks kick ass! as everyone else said about the "block head"   I don't like but you are changing it. but hell it is a commission so to each his own! Great job none the less.
