Hey everyone, I started getting into customs after my friend at work showed me some of the excellent customs that were being done on this site, and that inspired me to make some of my own. Shockwave's always been my favorite character and he's just never got the love he deserved, so I give you my Classics Shockwave. I used the following parts: Energon Shockblast Energon Sixshot Classics Galvatron Cybertron Defense Force Scattershot Testors model masters Citadel paint Krylon BBQ & Grill spray paint and...a power cable I've already purchased a number of other figures I plan to paint and mod so look forward to more from me! Nice... the darker purple really makes him look menacing. Good choice. I was considering using transplanted Dropshot arms for my Shockwave as well... how did they fit. Did you have to make any alterations to the joint to attach them to Shockblast's shoulders? zmog
Nope! They fit perfect and the scale is good too. The two shoulder pieces won't meet all the way, but you can hardly tell. I had to use the right shoulder off sixshot backwards on the left side otherwise the smaller left shoulder on the original wouldn't fit. Thanks for the compliments

yes, this... yeah, its surprisingly cool... i was thinking about just repainting my shockwave, but now i kinda think an arm transplant might help... just not sure what cannon arm to use...

I got to say this is awesome custom, the colors rock and well the parts you use are cool as well. Hopefully mine will turn out great, but only time can tell. So great job.
Well... IF you're already planning on dismantling a Dropshot for his arms, you might want to consider that there's a very Shockwave-esque gun barrel already housed in one of Dropshot's arm-mounted gun batteries. zmog
The arms fit perfectly, I just had to use the right shoulder from both shockblast and sixshot. For the cannon I used Classics Galvatron's cannon, but heavily bashed. I have the long tube that goes over the shorter part. I will probably paint it and add it back on the figure to give him a longer range
yeah, i was just thinking about that... his gun barrel could be a perfect shockwave barrel, and therefore cut down on the toys i'd have to buy...
