Sweet! Love the Roddy legs the way you've implemented them. Utilizing the original G1 knee joint paired with the Roddy's still gives a double jointed knee. I may have to try that on a future version. Overall he's looking great man, keep it up! I should have a significant update on mine Mon/Tues. I have a ton of "real life" crap to knock out this weekend.
Excellent man, I like this even more than your Galvatron, and that was my favorite of yours up until now.
Man you pulled that off so well! I love the longer legs, articulation, and overall body proportions. He looks like a cartoon action badass. Looks like a LOT of tough work too.
Thanks, man! Thanks, Rafe! I'm looking forward to seeing more Dinobots from you also, now get to work! Thanks, bro! DOOO EEEET!! It's definitely worth it to articulate the G1 Dinobots. They're already great, they were just too brickish. This just brings 'em right into the "Classics" era.
Thanks, guys! David, LOL - I don't think I could let this sucker go even if I wanted to. Now if only I had an extra, some extra parts, and some good trade offers for a custom build like this... (you can run circles around mine, bro--so how 'bout you send me one) haha Here's a small update to the shoulders. I'll snap some more pics soon and show off the actual modded parts. I used a' junker Universe Sunstreaker's shoulder joints. I cut the tabs and glued the flat black panel to the sides of the G1 Grimlock chest. I cut the old SS ball joint off and used one of those larger ball joints from HLJ (basically the same ball joint I was using before adding this new rotating shoulder joint). Now the shoulders can rotate up or down for bot mode and dino mode, without restricting the wings in bot mode. I'm still going for the cross between a mini-MP Grimlock and the artwork shown in Visual Works. I'm planning to do something similar to what David (big hank) did with his shoulders--build them up a bit more thick/bulky with sheet styrene.
LOL - thanks, Chuck! Still have some areas to hit with styrene now (the feet and legs--planning to bulk those up just a bit). I'll share up a current dino mode pic soon to show the reason why I want/need to bulk up the area. Need to cover a gap, but also add more stability to the bot mode now that the die-cast isn't involved anymore to help weigh it down a bit.
