Hey guys My nephew came across some of his figures in his garage a few weeks ago and he asked me to sell them for him. A bunch of them were on very damaged cards cause some water got on the cards and they warped like crazy and looked like crap. So i removed them. I decided to make some boxes for 2 of the figures, Megatron Megabolt and Super X-Brawn. I made megabolts box a book style box. Did him with Beast Machines logos and art since thats where he is really from pretty much. Box art was a pain to find, after searching on google for a while i came across the one i used for it, its pretty cool but was hoping to find one in more of an action pose.. I like the end result for it, came out nice i think.. The X-Brawn is a G1 mix, it's g1 style with tech specs and point but with RID logo and such. I had to color the X-brawn on the front of the box myself cause i couldnt find large enough art anyplace for him. So i scaned a line drawing from an RID japanese book i had and colored him in. These are both up for sale over on ebay. Selling them for my nephew so he can get some x-mas money so have a look at the pics and if you like what you see head over to ebay and place a bid lol enjoy the pics -Curt
I didnt want to do that because i didnt want to remove him from the tray. He is pretty much factory sealed on the tray still.. And if i made him standing i would have had to make a foam tray for him along with an overlay to cover the foam around him and such.
That is great. Good composition. May I ask how you went about doing this? I've several figures, I've been wanting to do this to, but wasn't sure where to begin. Supplies, imagining, overlays, etc. Thanks!
Zombie Thread !!!! lol Thanks for the compliments though i made these 3 years ago as you can see from the post date, I dont remember where i got the art for them anymore though but the x-bram was just line art that i colored myself , megabolt i dont remember. These were not to popular so i never continued to make them for sale. hey d00d, how much are you selling the Megaboltatron for? cuz if it's at a good price, I might buy one later after I come back from a convention
