I didn't know Devy worried about his thighs, no wonder he's always so tense.

    *Sigh*

This is a good idea. Really. But whoever is doing marketing for this needs to be shot out of a cannon into the sun.

An articulated G1 Devastator is something fans would JUMP at. But selling it piecemeal like this makes absolutely ZERO sense. No one is going to want JUST the head, or JUST the thighs. And one assumes that shoulder and arm pieces are in the works too to finish up the articulation there.

So, assuming we end up with 3 sets, that's $25 EACH, for a total of $75. And you have to buy them separately. So if you missed one? Tough.

Selling this a package, you could probably get away with the $75 price tag. Make G1 Devastator articulated, with new light up head? With no mods to the original toy? Yeah, someone who invested a lot in their Devastator might be interested. But no one is going to spend $25 for a HEAD for a 25 year old toy, just because it has light-up eyes.

although this was already posted, I'd wait until sometime next year for something like this. I know for a fact a better "set" is in the works and blows this one out of the water as far as articulation, colors, and details. And it will be cheaper.

I agree about selling a full kit, but the pieces have been lower.

The head was originally $12 or so for pre-order, now it's $17.
Pre-order for the legs are $22 until 9th of december.

To me those are perfectly reasonable prices, it's not like they can get rich handmaking these pieces.

I'd like a set, but the only Devastator I still have is my G2 set, so I need yellow bits, not green. (or, if they simply made all the parts purple, instead of small accent bits on the ends, it'd then work for all the variations)

I hear this company is running thousands of these as an add on kit, similar to FP, why is FP stuff news, and crazydevy's stuff isn't?

Wasn't too interested in the head they made but those thighs are starting to make me more interested in a full set. This would definitely make me put G1 devs in my classics display

*shrug* It's considered news on the other fan sites. Perhaps they aren't aware that they are a 'company' and assumed that Houndvoice made these. I'm wondering why this hasn't been moved to GD.

Anways, the thighs seem pretty cool - but that head is pretty awful. Not sure why it couldn't look more like Ptitvite's but smaller. You know, something more cartoon accurate than the original toy maybe? I can't wait to see what's coming from what you were hinting.

I like the thigh's so far. I'm not sure about the head though. It's the sculpting of the chin area the bugs me a bit. I guess I'm not used to seeing dev with such a narrow face towards the bottom. Otherwise, I really like what these guys are doing.

i have just received the hips and head and let me tell all of those who are "happy with Devy how he is" or that "the parts are overpriced" please be assured he is not ok the way he is putting these parts on him make him a cartoon accurate fully poseable pimp. he is perfect, night and day compared to the non upgraded one, these upgrades are a must have i hope someone puts up some good pics so you all can see what i have been staring at for hours its just so perfect and bad ass. the CrazyDevy advertising stinks everyone who loves G1 Devastator needs to know about this, i cant say enough good things about crazydevy, as far as cost to much if you look at what they are doing and how many they are selling they are practically giving them away, God bless
