Lotus wanted me to share his new set of Insecticons.He wanted the more cartoon look for his set so that's what I did.The grey on Bombshell is darker because we both felt that it looked better and also made the paint on his chest stand out more.There is also a G1 sticker set waiting for his applications as well.

He was so excited with the end result that he couldn't wait for me to post these guys and share them with all of you.So go ahead and let him know what you think about his Insecticons.

DAMN! NICE JOB!!! The insecticons they way they were MEANT to be! I can't wait to see updated pix after you get your stickers, that will really make these guys. I've always wanted to re-do these 3 along with the other insecticons, painting them the same black, purple, and yellow so they all matched as a group. The only thing I would have done differently, and this is just my personal preference, I would have kept Bombshells chest purple. They grey does look good on him but I think the purple would have made him match a little better with Shrapnel and Kickback. None the less they still look fantastic!

I love how these turned out the "Animation" look is STELLAR! I prefer the "toy look" you gave mine, but these are really sweet!

You know, I honestly feel like something's missing without the chrome there. That may just be me. Besides, if it's what was asked for in the commission, then I can't complain.

What I really can't complain about though is the construction. Another mighty fine job on these guys for your... second? Third set of Insecticons?

Yeah we had a discussion whether to make it purple or grey. But since I wanted to stick the original toon look, rumble619 made it a dark grey. I kinda strayed from my original wants, but he put me back in line! Besides, if ptitvite did it, then I'm sold.  

So do I.  

And I will love them more when they get here!!!

these look great. i can tell what some parts are. any chance of you going over how one or tow of them where made or what parts you used?

 

No problem.I actually did a tutorial on Bombshell and Shrapnel.Go check them out in the tutorial section under G1 articulated Bombshell+Shrapnel.I'm working on Kickbacks.

Man I just checked out your tutorials on Bombshell and Shrapnel and you did an awesome job on those. They seem really easy to follow, I'm almost tempted to try them myself with the exception of the epoxy stuff. Maybe I'll give Shrapnel a shot and send Bombshell and Kickback to you. When are you gonna finished the Kickback tutorial anyway?

Gotta really agree with you there. I've been working on making some of these guys all weekend and I've checked EVERY thread involving insecticons and I can't find a better recipe for the classic look that I'm going for. I have Shrapnel and Kickback completely modded they just need paint but I'll wait until I can figure Bombshell out entirely.

Also gotta just bring up thos great tutorials once again. You really have to just get in there and try them. I'd say Shrapnel was the easiest and best way to help build my confidence to go the whole way with doing these guys.
