Heavy/Scratch: wip-headmaster squeezeplay

    its my first wip on the board

    this is a bash that i have been working on for over 2-3 month now .
    on and off between commisions and school(i'm a vet medicine student 4th yr)

    i love the headmasters ,i think that they were great toys ,u got creature bot, a humenoid bot and of course the headmaster itself ,as a kid i didnt had any of them ,but when i was 16 or so my friend gave me a huge bag filled with TF
    among those i got squeeze play ,and i hated him,his headmaster is IMO has the best face of all the headmaster Jr. but his creature mod i awfull,semi alien thingy with huge arms and small legs,but as i played with with him more and more (yes 16 yrs old do play with toys :crazy: ) i got really fond of him .


    so after i made horribull i want to deal with this guy
    i want to make him more articulated and to add some LED's

    so i started with this head of his
    when u transform him -he has a huge kibble on his back -so i gave the lad an articulated head and the joint will allow him to turn up an not down so less visable kibble.
    the joint came from a zoid

    i cut the neck and glued the ball joint and on the ratcheting former joint i glued the female joint .

    then i messed with his jaw and gave it articulation ( i'm planing to make his teeth a bit more scary :)

    this was made with a small balljoint after i trimmed the jaw .

    then the legs of the bot /arms of the creature
    removed the ratcheting joint and replaced it with a tech' lego joint
    i glued the ball into the body and started building around the female joint to make it less lego like .

    to the creature legs - just removed a small peg that was on the joint to allow the legs to move (they were fixed )

    now i need to figure out how to make the bot arms articulated ...?

    i dont have his tail ,so i'll need to figure out a replacment
    and of course his headmaster will b casted in epoxy resin to make a repro .

    i'm still thinking about the color scheme , cause i dont like his colors ?

    i'm postting this cause i wanna finish this guy and start other project so i need some c&s to boost my energy with this

    Dude, nice job there! I had a Squeezeplay at somepoint, but sold him off! I was going to do the exact same thing to him! Nice to see someone else articulate the scout sized headmasters!

    Well so far it looks like you're doing a very clean job of adding articulation to him!

    The Mid-to-late era G1 guys are SO awesome for updating this way, once you finish adding the joints, and maybe give him a new paint-job, it will be a thing of beauty!

    That's awesome. He's one of my favorites as weird as he is. Since you like Headmasters you should to the Horrorcons. If you do Snapdragon I'll love you forever!!

    why can only 8 year olds play with TFs! I'm also 16 and it's fun! nice work man this looks cool how big is it never seen it before?

    arm update

    well i think i figured out what to do with the arms ,so there will be a double ball joint one will move on the horizontal axis and the other on the vertical axis . then the inside of the arm(the blue part ) can create an albow .

    Why do you have to parts-form the hands? Those purple.... 'things' just hang out on his back in alt. mode anyway, right?

    Right. What I'm saying is that those purple things that his robot mode hands are molded into just sit on his back in alt. mode anyway - so you could do something like what I'm doing with my Skullcruncher:

    I drilled a hole into Grimlock's fist and inserted my own articulated hand. Keep in mind this is an early shot of the mod, and it will be cleaned up much nicer in the near future, but it gets my point across. I think you could do the same sort of thing with Squeezeplay here, and simply add fists to the end of those... purple things. Whatever the hell they are.

    thats exactly what i want to do

    and i'm planing to put the same hands
    they will arrive soon

    those purple things supposed to be his upper arms ,and the those blue thingys r his lower arms.
    i wanna add the hand where i cut off the bots fists(probably i'll add some detail to that part.
    but they will have to b partsforming ,i have no space to place them in side

    i'm currently in an exam period so i dotn have so much time to sit on it

    looks like youre doing it right, if not better than i would. joints look clean but its hard to make out the finished prod. trial and error is your best friend!

    a month a whole month took my to find some time to fiddle with this guy
    and i think i found it

    i'll use landmine cybertron arms to fit into squeezeplay's shoulders

    icut the arms and left only the shoulder part,and glued landmine's instead.

    the purple backpack thingy will b a bit longer,landmine's arms have crappy hands
    should i make him partshandformer?

    well it will take me probably another month till i try something with this guy again,its exams period here and i have general surgery final exam in 5 days :(
