Okay, weak-ass disclaimer first. I'm not a particularly arty guy, I can't draw two stick men and I've never been very good at modelling. That being said, I have a skilled girlfriend who is much more patient than me, I can take things apart and spray them, but she does all the fine detail work. Classics G2 Sideswipe / Shattered Glass Sideswipe This guy is gonna double up as both for me as I really hate Shattered Glass Sideswipe, I think he'll be sporting a G2 logo rather than a purple Autobot logo when all is said and done. No mods to speak off, just repainted in the style of G2 Sideswipe. Basically I'm a sucker for black / purple Transformers. Whats nice about this is it's made from a K/O Voyager Prime, so he's about 50% bigger than the official Voyager mold, giving him that extra height to make the character more Menasor-ing. Yeah, a bit boring this one but I thought I'd give it a go anyway. A little bit of modding here to give the guy some damage, exploded missile and damaged head, I'll probably but some scoring on the hood and maybe a cracked windshield. He still needs lots of work, base coats are finally finished - the doors took about 4 coats - but that's about it. WH Smiths at a service station somewhere, apparently it's okay to sell nasty quality knock-offs if you're a big chain?!?! They also have an over-size Animated Starscream. We've had a few issues with cracking on the paint, we're not sure if that's caused by changes in temperature as they are sprayed in our little greenhouse / porch bit and then brought inside? No-one else can seem to explain it, any ideas? Nothing a little sanding and touching up hasn't fixed.
Looking good sir. I'm liking the idea of using a oversized KO Prime. Have you thought about a trailer for him?
Trailer would be nice, I'm not sure how well he will transform though as the K/O wasn't of the best quality, but the robot should look kick-ass. Thanks for the advice about the cracking.
