    Galvatron, Cyclonus and Reimagined Scourge

    Hello all

Firstly can i say thankyou for this awesome forum, the customs i have seen here have inspired me to try my hand at it. For now I am limited to repaints however my good lady has offered to buy me a dremel for xmas so i can try more complex customs.

I have now got 2 ongoing projects, firstly to create a custom set of TFTM figures, ave started with the 3 you see below. I will redo Unicron last probably but have my eyes set on Ultra Manus next, then Kup, Blurr, Arcee, gnaw and Springer. I like the classics Hot rod so maybe slight paint touch up only.

Second project is based on the awesome masterpiece Soundwave i saw on here, bought the oversized soundwave and have picked my donating figures for his updated cassettes.

Anyway enough about my future projects here are my current ones. A complete repaint of Universe Cyclonus, Energon Megs converted to Galvatron and finally my reimagining of Scourge the tracker.... I do have plans to do a proper Scourge at some point but really liked he thought of Galv having him as a beast on a leash.

Nice job on these, man. I really dig the Galvatron and Cyclonus, but I gotta say, that Scourge is a pretty unique take on the character. Kind of an odd choice, but it does work with the whole "tracker" thing. lol

Hope to see more from you and welcome aboard!

Actually base figure was the ever popular energon megs, it oozes galvatron in its purest form

Well there was no Voyager Galvatron in America, it was the TRU 2-pack Megatron with Optimus that you're thinking about. The was both Megatron and Galvatron in the leader size though. Also the Galvatron that was from that series that started as a Voyager was General Galvatron from the Japanese series, Superlink (Energon in America)

But yes I'd say it is the Voyager version most definitely

Either way back on topic, great start on your customs man. Sounds like you have plans to keep you busy for a while. Although I'm more of a fan of solid paint jobs, it seems that you got a decent grasp of the dry brushed look. Now get back to your camera and take about 10 or 20 more pics each of these guys and create separate threads so they can enjoy the adoration they deserve

very interesting take on Scourge, though I think a blue paint job would have done a slightly better job referencing the character.

When I first looked at this, I kept looking for a bipedal, robotic Scourge. And then I realized what you did there. AND I LOVE IT. It's definitely a different way to go for the character, but seriously, as a hunter/scavenger, now I can't think of a better figure to use.

The only thing I might have done would be to snip those spikes off, make him seriously sleek. Still, super wicked for a design, and the other figures seriously are win.
